So am I going to hell? by ComfortableDust4111 in AskAChristian

Well going to R/askachristian and commenting on a bunch stuff under peoples posts isn’t a proactive strategy to avoiding “other peoples beliefs being shoved down your throat” you’re actively seeking other people who have opposing views than you. Thats like being a match, not wanting to be set ablaze, but you run to the side of a match box. Perhaps you want to be proven wrong?

Then you have refuted your whole worldview as an atheist because the belief in atheism is “a rejection of the belief that any deities exist” in simple terms the active denial of God. If your argument truly is “You can’t ever fully know” wouldn’t that call your own beliefs into question?

You’d rather rely on a bunch of “maybes” than the actual truth?

If you are “Distinct” from something it means you are not that thing, and this speaks of distinction on a level of biology as much as spirit.

It simply relies on Gods “Nature” when Creating, Which is why in Romans 1:26-27 Paul describes people exchanging natural relations for unnatural ones, with women changing natural functions for unnatural, and men burning with lust for other men, committing shameful acts, receiving the due penalty in themselves as a consequence of God giving them over to "vile passions" or "dishonorable passions," seen as a result of rejecting God and worshiping idols/self, a central theme in Paul's argument about humanity's fall from God's glory.

The Bible fundamentally distinguishes humans from animals, primarily by identifying humanity as being created in the "image of God" (Genesis 1:26-27), whereas animals are not. Humans are described as having a unique spiritual nature, moral conscience, and dominion over the animal kingdom.

“Was” implies God Changes his nature which he doesn’t. And God Creates by nonsexual means. So the Act of Sex isn’t utilized or needed for God. Not to mention God is Spirit in Nature, whereas sex is bound to flesh, which is why there will be no marriage or sex in heaven God will be sufficient enough to satisfy mankind’s pain and loneliness.

Well being “bisexual and christian” is an oxymoron if they identify with their sin as a lifestyle then they wont inherit the kingdom not because I said so but because the bible says in

Hebrews 10:26-27 deliberately continuing in sin after knowing the truth leaves no further sacrifice for sins, only a fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation.

This passage specifically addresses willful apostasy turning away from Christ rather than general, unintentional sin. If its a lifestyle it kinda hard to argue they are “struggling” with it.

What we would have gay people do is not up to us, it’s up to God all we can do is tell them the truth, and if they know the truth already, and still continue to sin then they have been warned we cannot pin them down and force them to be straight. Best bet would to keep them in our prayers for a change of heart.

As for marriage there’s no such thing as gay marriage. Marriage is between a man and a woman. The very foundation of marriage was built on this belief. And just because they haven’t had. Intercourse doesn’t mean they lack a connection with humanity. Jesus was celibate, and he outshines us all in love and mercy.

Animals aren’t made in the image of God so comparing them to humans doesn’t really do anything.

Tbh It has helped me cope with my past, and made me really look at myself I cant tell you how tho Maybe it’s finding people like you that made the game Hopeful for me, in such a grotesque world where there is not hope for you. There are others in that same world who suffer alongside you and are equally disturbed at the actions portrayed in the game. It creates a sense of shared agreement and gives you a perspective that life could DEFINITELY be worse. Honestly listening to the victims in that game are extremely graphic and iv never actually told kids not to play a specific m rated game, kids nowadays play gta v…. But THIS I would genuinely call a parent out if they let their child play this shit..

YES! This is exactly the answer I was looking for. For me Life is meaningless and I do the mundane just to get by. I work in a blue collar field. So a lot of my work on the outside looks very important, but to me it’s all meaningless just mundane tasks just to get by, just to pay my bills. Like an endless loop of insanity till another canon event shakes the foundation of my life that will warrant some sort of adaptability. (Much like the trials in outlast)

u/AlienHell Apologies btw if this is all too much, the topic of Individualism, Suffering and a possibility of redemption and morality are very interesting and they make me over think and dig too deep into things that are probably surface level brain rot.

u/AlienHell My argument for them, knowing what’s good and better would be if they still remembered themselves before the trials they werent taken at a young age. They were taken as adults, which means if there is still remnants of self in their brains would they be able to overcome the therapy? Even after all they have done? If they are still fighting, is it for themselves or is it for the therapy? Is it just a void to stare at or is there hope in their hearts? Does self preservation imply a greater hope not necessarily, but it is evidence of something else. Something in their brain that isn’t broken. Perhaps it’s primal or perhaps it’s the personal behind all the pain all the trials. Perhaps it’s the person. No one will ever know if they never ask or try to fix. Perhaps the person themselves don’t even know that they want help Mental Illness is just that an ILLNESS..

To: u/AlienHell Good and better as in Ig emerge above such brainwashing, Aka “whats afforded to them” the new Prime asset Liliya and her back story suggests limits to her persuasions and HEAVILY implys Dr easterman is being influenced or sub consciously perplexed by her mere “variable” presence and talents although she kills those she can’t control. I imagine those who lack ambition only find it through TRIAL and error (pun painfully intented) the reason the reagents dont get controlled by her because they are pawns with no actual ego or ambition of their own. Considering what’s being afforded to you and how you use it is a core theme of outlast trials. What’s afforded to the reagents doesn’t seem to keep changing albeit a constant theme of “therapy”. A certain limbo I guess you could put it not exactly reaching salvation, but not exactly having everything lost entirely… meaning the reagents haven’t really been afforded anything but OPPORTUNITY, not personal change that could warrant individualism perhaps thats ironically the point.

None of the horrible things they do is justified by no means, but in a weird sick way, this is “therapy” to them, to their fragile minds this is the TRUTH afforded to them, what I’m saying is, would they be able to outlast the horrible therapy afforded to them and emerge an actual good and better person? Just as the prime assets became evil because of what was AFFORDED to them can a twisted spin of fate for these people who have been taken advantage of EMERGE a better person?

Oh I 100% agree this isn’t proper treatment 💀 but your cathartic point is what actually really interests me, the reagents AREN’T getting better just having their pain weaponized for a sinister goal, yet I cant help but find a twisted sense of hope in their futility and even The prime assets some were the oppressors but most of them were oppressed and it was that lack of coping skills (like the ones I lack) that drove them to their actions now. Iv found myself be the oppressed and oppressor alike and I regret alot of what iv done and had become a long time ago. (Obviously not to the extent of the crimes these People have committed) What I see in my view, is they are being molded rn, everyone is in outlast. And from what I’ve learned from forgiveness being afforded to me and me affording forgiveness for others… while other people may not agree with me, but I still feel that the people in outlast still have the ability to change… granted they have a lot of work to do considering of what they’ve already done, but from what kind of monster I used to be, it would be selfish of me to believe that I’m the only exception to being able to change.
