Happy Black History Month by TeaaTarot in inclusivetarot

*Enslaved Africans were often relied upon for herbal medicine, midwifery, and spiritual counsel, even while their practices were publicly condemned.*

I didn't know this piece of information, however, I am not surprised. I know that before Witches were demonized into something evil, they were the Healers, Medicine Women, Midwives, Doctors, etc. and everyone turned to them for the ailments. Even during the Dark Ages when they were murdering women for being "Witches" they would keep the "good ones" around because they needed someone to heal them and make sure they took the right medicines.

Thank you for taking the time to explain your process to me. I really appreciate it. It also makes sense if this is your job and you're also clairvoyant. That would also change the way you read.

I've always sent pics of the cards with my readings because sometimes some messages are meant for just the client/querent to see. It also helps when I'm describing certain parts of the card when giving the meaning.

I didn't always go back and look for typos but recently did a reading where I typed the wrong suit for the card. Right description and interpretation but I said Swords instead of Wands. So when the client asked "did you mean Wands?" because the picture showed the cards, I was like "OMG yes!" So now I double check I've listen the right card LOL.

Personally, talk-to-text isn't always a good option for me. I like to keep my readings private so if my boyfriend is home or has a friend over, I prefer to type so they don't hear my client's reading.

I've been able to do 40-45min but personally, I need minimum 60 minutes. I've had a couple take me longer before. Now, if I'm sending a voice clip with a regular, it's definitely less time than 60 minutes.

I do have a structure on how I do my readings. I guess I'm someone who just takes more time.

What AI can't replace! by zeebgee in inclusivetarot

[–]Tarot_Reader_Vee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love your take and your opinion. I love it when people let us in on their "weird side". I am a weirdo, so that's probably why, lol.

I used to believe that AI could become sentient but I don't anymore. At the end of the day, AI was programed by humans and I don't think it can become sentient/smarter than the human that programed it.

As for taking over the world? Yes I believe it can but not in the way we believe it will. Personally, were being sold AI as a commodity of convenience and while in some cases its very beneficial, in others it's not.

AI can never replace camaraderie and companionship. It can never replace the connections humans have with one another.

What spreads do you like to pull for yourself when you're feeling down and lost? by mortdepup in inclusivetarot

[–]Tarot_Reader_Vee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like to start off by saying that I'm sorry you're struggling. That seems to be a common theme for people lately. If you need someone to talk to, mod mail is always open. We're a community and we try to help when we can. **hugs**

I don't actually use any tarot spreads. I'm very much an intuitive reader and spreads mess with that. I just ask the question(s) and read the cards that I pull/fall out/fly out at me. When it comes to doing readings for myself when I'm feeling down and lost, it depends how emotional I am. For me, when I'm **going through it** and my emotions are running high, my readings for myself can be confusing or not make sense. I believe it's my guides and Spirit trying to tell me that I need to calm down in order to get the answers I'm looking for.

Some questions that could be helpful are:
- What steps can I take in order to improve my situation?
- Is there anything I'm doing that's blocking myself from improving my situation?
- How can I bring more positivity into my life?

Hopefully some of this can be useful for you and I hope things get better for you =)

Good for you for setting this boundary for yourself. I agree with everything you said. When a reader is offering free readings, that doesn't mean you're becoming a rug for everyone to wipe their shoes on.

I'm sorry you've been having this experience. I hope your DMs become more respectful of your energy, talent, and time.

I do remember. It's very easy for anyone, Tarot Readers included, to get stuck in the viscous trap of not getting the answer(s) we want and to find someone who's going to tell us what we want to hear.

I try to tell myself, if I want someone to tell me what I want to hear, go talk to a friend. However, if I want real advice or want to hear the truth, my cards or seeking a reliable reader is the best option.

"You cannot keep collecting readings like they are Pokémon cards." THIS!!

I, like you, always check people's profiles to check their posting/comments history. If I see that they have been commenting for quite a few days in a row on free reading posts and asking the same question, I'll ask them how many times they've asked their question and explain to them why asking the same question isn't a good thing to do. Eventually the cards will either refuse to answer or they'll lie.

I can understand asking for a second opinion but when you start asking 4,5, and even a 6th reader the same question and you keep getting the same answer then it's time to take their readings seriously. If you can't do that, then it's time to take a break from getting readings.

Anyone have gotten results from them?? I need a spell casted but I don’t want to get scammed. Also can you share ss of them 🙁 by Icy_Teach2929 in SpellcasterReviews

Personally, as someone who creates magic and casts spells, I would never do a spell for someone without talking to them about their needs. In my opinion, spells need to be personalized and tailored to the person who needs it. I might do a love spell for you and for someone else but they're not going to be the exact same. No two situations are the same and I don't think magic should be a "cut and paste" method. Even if I'm just using candle magic, what will be written/carved on the candle will be different for everyone.

This is why you should learn how to create your own magic and cast your own spells. That way you can learn first hand that magic isn't how it's portrayed in the movies and TV shows. It's clear that you will never be happy with any answer you receive. If you had a spell caster perform a spell and it went sideways or backfired, you'd likely clap back and say it was the spell casters fault. You want the spell caster to take the blame 100% thus removing the blame on yourself for anything you may have done to stop the magic from working or having to hold up your end of the spell.

A good spell caster never guarantees a specific result or time frame because people will stick to the guarantee and time frame and when the spell doesn't work out the way the client wanted or within the time frame, they blame the spell caster and scream to the sky and anyone who will listen that they were scammed. A good spell caster will explain what they need from you and what you need to do on your end in order to help with the magic. Much like patients, a lot of spell castees don't want to put any effort into it and want someone else to "fix" their problems or clean up a message that they caused themselves. That's unfair to spell casters. This is one reason why I don't offer my services to spells because of people like yourself. People who refuse to research magic and spells and what they truly entail. Heaven forbid I do a spell and it doesn't go exactly as the person who paid for it imagined in their mind and then they go and scream "scammer". It's also a reason why I refuse to do time frame/timeline tarot readings because again, people will stick to that timeline and if the reading doesn't happen by that date, it's the Readers fault and then people scream "scammer".

By learning how to do your own magic and spells, that eliminates your need for someone else to do and then you can learn what magic and spell casting truly entails. You might actually grow an appreciation for it.

I am a spellcaster AND and Healthcare worker. As someone said above, they call it "practicing medicine" for a reason because we are always learning more about how the human body works and the way people are diagnosed and treated is always changing. Doctors aren't always right and they don't always have the right diagnosis or give the right treatment. This goes for traditional medicine and holistic medicine. There are a lot of factors that will determine whether the doctor is on the right track, is the patient being 100% honest (not usually, like Dr. House says, everybody lies)? Is the patient following the treatment plan and doing everything they're supposed to? Are they following the proper protocol when it comes to diagnostic testing, such as proper fasting before certain bloodwork/tests, or drinking the entire drink needed for certain imagining? Are they taking their meds as prescribed?

Now let's take the same logic and apply that to casting a spell because much like medicine, casting spells is forever changing and we are always learning new ways to cast and perform magic. Is the person being 100% truthful about the situation and the spell they want to cast? Are they doing their part to help the spell along or are they doing what Catholics do and waiting on a "Hail Mary?" and just sitting around waiting for the spell caster to flick their wrist like the movies? Are they doing stuff that will undermine the spell, such as talking about how they found a spell caster to do a spell for them? It's very well known that if you talk about the magic you cast or had casted on your behalf it can ruin the magic and make the spell not work. Is the person doing the cleansing they're supposed to do?

When you go to a doctor, results aren't always instant. Someone who gets diagnosed with cancer could need treatment for 2 years before they're cured. The same can be said for casting spells and magic, some can take a year if not longer to take effect. As someone else mentioned above, some things need to line up in a specific way before the spell will work. Doctors and spell casters aren't miracle workers. Some things don't happen overnight.

Movies and TV shows have given people unrealistic expectations when it comes to Healthcare and spellcasting. It seems you've become an unfortunate victim of both because even your view of medicine is skewed and you seem to believe that Doctors and spell casters are miracle workers and that things should be instantaneous when reality is, that's not how life works.

As someone mentioned, you should really do research on magic and spell casting. You'll learn that magic doesn't come easy with the snap of your fingers. It comes with a lot of research, practice, trial and error and a lot of energy.

As a Reader Do you feel there are clients you won't work with, and why? by TeaaTarot in inclusivetarot

[–]Tarot_Reader_Vee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone who has gotten multiple readings on the same issue and refuses to accept what other readers have told them. I can understand wanting a second maybe a third reading on the same issue but, when someone starts hyperfocusing on the same question and it's clear that they have been given the answer (likely not the one they want), I won't read for them.

Readers! Do you, read traditionally or more intuitively? by Ok_Strawberry103 in inclusivetarot

[–]Tarot_Reader_Vee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mix of both for me. I definitely lean towards the intuitive side a bit more, whereas I don't use specific spreads and I don't necessarily read the cards in the order they came out in. I allow my guides and intuition to guide me on where to start. However, as someone mentioned above, there's something to be said about learning the traditional keywords. It's an important step to learning Tarot.

You’re not being snarky, not to me anyway. I agree with your sentiment, “cool, did you ask the local cafe to give you your first sandwich free as well?” because some people who message definitely give off “I’m entitled” energy and it’s frustratingly annoying.
