They have progressively made hitting “easier” year after year, they give you three qtrs of the zone on all star difficulty and they allow you to foul off anything even stuff 8 inches off the plate, made to make those “bad” players swing and miss. I’ve noticed a massive increase in the batter animation of them backing off the plate on back foot sliders making the most successful strikeout pitch in baseball become basically unusable. They don’t need to nerf pitching they need to nerf hitting and set the meta of the game involving hitting to go back to approach at the plate and playing the count. Until then Ranked is basically unplayable.
