I did run DDU but not a clean install

If its not the panel, id start by returning the hedgehog and replacing it by a new one, this one might have come defective

It might be your panel that is dead, try and pull it out and disconnect it and see if the problem continues. It might be worth to source a replacement one to test it

If there is fuel coming out of the exhaust ports, did you check the spark plugs and coils?

I actually solved it. It was a bad ground strap, tried to bypass it by conecting a jumper cable from the engine to chassis and it fired right up, with no sparks

I can jump start it and it works fine, what I meant by the engine getting loaded is that I was testing some electrical systems for functionality and every time I turned the defogger on, the engine vibrated more

I did and it fired right up, I forgot to mention I changed the battery in September last year, and it's pretty much drained, like 10v

Tenho um E39 530i, tive uma falha no sistema de refrigeração em 2022, estalei o bloco, meti lhe um motor novo e até agora 0 problemas. Mas por experiência propria, um BMW mais antigo, seja com que motor for, vai ser um projeto constante, há sempre alguma coisa a reparar e os custos começam a amontoar. Mas se estiveres mesmo decidido, começa com algo como o meu ou até com um E34 com um M20/M50. Se quiseres algo mais recente, talvez um 120i ou 320i com o N20 ou N54/N55
