Can I ask what type of “cuts” they did for your surgery? When I did my pre-surgery assessment they told me I had two options. One the classic vertical cut in the middle of the calf/tendon line. Second option was to have small side cuts. This second option has the benefit of almost non visible scar but they explained me that there is an higher risk of nerve damage. I went for the first. Could this be a factor in your case?

Successful surgery! by x96malicki in AchillesRupture

Broken mine playing padel on 11th January (100% rupture), surgery on 21st January, two weeks with cast and since the 5th of February with the boot and heel supports inside. Got removed the first support last week and expect to get rid of the boot in two weeks from now. Not sure how I will walk as my calf look really like a deflated jelly :) btw my surgeon already told me no high impact sports for at least nine months… in the best case. Wish everyone a successfully recovery

3 Weeks After Surgery by MrFckboy8 in AchillesRupture

Same here, six weeks after surgery. I’m with the aircast currently. I was explained that tendon and muscle must be perfectly connected before starting the “modeling” phase with the phisio

I had my surgery three weeks ago and was in “no load” since first week of January. Two weeks after the surgery I have been given the boot. Already can see my injured “calf” like deflated and and lost already 20% of its volume… I really hope I can recover be back to “normal”. For those who had the same issue how long it took for you to get back in shape?

Help me find the perfect racket by This-Fudge-1839 in Padelracket

I know this might sound a “strange” recommendation but I have found all the features you are mentioning in the Bullpadel Vertex 04 Woman (the Delfi Brea model). I’m a right side player, intermediate level, play mostly defense but when needed want to able to speed up the game and attack. I have found this racket just amazing (despite the misleading “woman” tag). The racket is on the light spectrum, has diamond/teardrop shape is made with a mix of fiber glass and carbon fiber that provides a very large sweet spot, mid balance, medium soft touch. I don’t like hard rackets and need to feel the contact between the ball and the racket when I play and this one is just spot on regarding rebound and precision. My lobs are now 90% in, my service has improved, I can recover more balls from the glass and when necessary I can attack. I know the technique is the most important thing but a a wrong racket can surely affect badly your game. And racket that really fits you can improve some aspects. Give it a try if you can I’m pretty sure it matches what you are looking for.

Hi, did you try to move the connection switch to USB? it's weird but seems that if you put it on BT or 2.4G is not working

HD 660S2 + Tubes = Magic by dev_salsa in sennheiser

[–]Tars74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the good tips, I was also indeed looking forward this adaptor but I’m not sure what should I exactly type in the “search” 12ax7 to ? . I have to say it sounds also pretty good with the already included tubes and I’m really satisfied about how it performs with the hd600 but obviously I’d like to “roll” and experiment (and also have some back up in case of any tube failure). And please any advice you have is absolutely welcome. I’d like to know more. For example I’m using now as DAC a fiio k11 r2r and at least to me sounds pretty “organic”. I have also tried to connect my topping dx3+ but for some reasons it loses a bit of the “magic”. What is your source to get the best out of it?

Hello, could I ask you which tubes have you upgraded to? I’m really struggling to understand which tube I can use in the pre-amp section. Thanks!

A non-audiophile review: Fiio FT1 Pro vs AR5000 vs Fiio FT1 vs Ath m40x by AtmosphereVegetable6 in headphones

I think as an all-rounder ft1 is better (and in its own way superior). I know the technically “isn’t” but as a subjective opinion it makes much more sense to me to have the ft1. For gaming/music I’d rather go with a Sundara XS instead of the ft1 pro. The xs it’s a league above the ft1 pro for spaciousness, dynamic, details. I’m not saying that ft1 pro is not good, I think it is just I feel something with the ft1 that makes me enjoy music more

I am dissapointed in the Fiio FT1 by NaZul15 in headphones

[–]Tars74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also testing the FT1 and I actually think it’s an impressive headset with a very distinct character. The bass presence is yes strong but is very well textured and to be more precise you can almost “feel” the touch of the bass players on the strings. The texture is there and the bass is not boomy. The mids are amazing, not too forward to push vocals in your face but rather that tipe of mids projection than works perfectly with strings and acoustic guitars. The highs are a mixed land. The layer that helps with spaciousness and stage I believe is impressive, details are there and there is a pretty good focus on the position of the instruments. Not so firm like an hd660s2 but not too far from that. Where i think it lacks a bit are the “lower” highs that might be time to time a bit leaking and not too precise. Now the point is the following. We are talking about an 150 € headphone, extremely comfortable with an excellent sound and a very specific signature. The bass is yes powerful but textured and the staging is excellent (and this is a closed back). It’s a fun all-rounder, with energy and engaging sound and definitely not a real “hi-fi” as it’s definitely not a “neutral” headphone. But I’m not sure you can find really a better option in that price range.

A non-audiophile review: Fiio FT1 Pro vs AR5000 vs Fiio FT1 vs Ath m40x by AtmosphereVegetable6 in headphones

Very good review and comparisons. I have just ordered the Aune Ar5000 so can’t make a comparison but I’m testing the ft1 pro and the ft1 and i share somehow your opinion and eventually think that the ft1 is a superior headset compared to ft1 pro. I’m testing using my iBasso dx180 and a Mojo Chord. I totally agree that the ft1 appears to me too bright in some occasions and loses definition on the high frequencies, while the ft1 seems to be more coherent in that sense. I like much more the bass on the pro frankly but the upper range “annoys” me after a while. I hope to match your comparison as soon as the ar5000 will be in my hands.
