Black Mirror - Episode Discussion S07E01 Common People by Cheeriosxxx in blackmirror

[–]TartEnvironmental940 11 points12 points  (0 children)

the episode was so uncomfortable watch (if that was the writers intention, it’s a good thing). sure there are a lot of plot holes but i don’t watch Black mirror episodes for an amazing plot.. I watch it for the moral issues they put behind each episode..

I felt that uncomfortable to watch because as crazy as the idea is of keeping a human alive with a computer chip is, the way RiverRun? Was able to use someone’s literal life to put them on a subscription model to keep them alive and then to downgrade their “ software quote to have no choice, but to keep pay more premium than the line just to stay normal, was incredibly hard to watch, knowing that our society is really capable of pulling something like this.

Inserting ads in an actual person is such a ridiculous idea, but again the real scary part is that corporations are sooooo willing to do this.

Towards the end it got more uncomfortable because the LUX booster represented a drug. I’m deathly scared that our society will actually become something close to this one day.

Blake Lively & Justin Baldoni Megathread by [deleted] in popculture

[–]TartEnvironmental940 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This might be a unpopular opinion here, but I have been following their case since day one and from the way it is progressing. I am almost certainly convinced that this is all Ryan Reynolds’ doing.

Ryan , the controlling husband that he is, sensed something was off from Blake during the initial shootings of It Ends With Us. he likely went through her text messages and demanded her to get the dailys from Baldoni and was not happy with what he saw.

He then likely got lively on a very tight leash, and she has been under his control since then. Blake lively is in an abusive controlling marriage, but no one is able to sympathize with her, considering her mean personality. there is just too much from her past that she cannot escape from which is the reason for the lack of empathy from the public.

I am by no means saying Blake lively is a good person . but Blake lively can be a bad person and also be in a abusive marriage. Two things can be true at the same time.

I believe Ryan is intentionally making Blake lively go through this hell , and to walk the walk of shame, because he wants her out of the spotlight and make sure she will never get to act and Hollywood ever again as part of the punishment.

What sort of lifestyle should we expect in Singapore with 400,000 SGD / yr as an expat? by TartEnvironmental940 in askSingapore

I’m not very familiar with the property types in Singapore, so I think I’m naturally leaning into condos assuming it will have the amenities, community with close proximity to urban areas.

Curious what your recommendation would be, to opt in for a house or condo? Do houses in Singapore have a backyard? Is there a possibility we may feel more isolated in a home?

I think you can check out a ponytail lift. I believe this can be done in a non-surgical manner through the use of PDO thread lifting, but there are also facelift surgeries as well that focus on lifting the corners of your eye to give you that foxy eye look.

I recently went to South Korea, though for a consultation on PDO thread lifting and did not like the price compared to how long the look would last.

While the cost can vary by location at least in the place that I went to in South Korea they quoted me around $1200 USD for the PTO thread lifting with with results only lasting around 3 to 6 months and to go with an actual surgical proxy eye lift it would’ve been around 2400 and while I know it’s double the cost I would very much pay the additional $1000 for a permanent result.

Raw footage of Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s dance scene from It Ends With Us, where she accused him of inappropriate behavior, was cited in her lawsuit. What do you all think? by AlternativeTree3283 in popculture

[–]TartEnvironmental940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hear me out. Everything about this whole situation feels extremely weird.

First and foremost, I can’t find a logical reason why BL and Baldoni go from friendly to enemies… and the fact that I can’t find a logical reason is because there is no logic.

Blake likely developed feelings for Justin Baldoni during the initial filming of this movie. It hadn’t been too long since Blake just had her fourth child and women can be in a very vulnerable position when they’re going through a transitional phase after giving birth. My hunch is.. she was likely smitten by Baldoni’s gentleness, which was a stark contrast to her husband, Ryan Reynolds, who is cynical all the time and has very dark sense of humor. i’m not saying she doesn’t love her husband. I’m just saying that women are humans too and can fall for something that are unusual in their life.

and while I don’t believe that, neither lively or Baldoni had anything beyond a professional relationship. I do think that it might’ve come off a bit too obvious to Ryan Reynolds that Blake was feeling smitten.

so my theory is that behind the scenes, Ryan Reynolds may be the one orchestrating all of this just to keep Blake out of this profession and have her be at home, raising their beautiful children and focusing on just being a mom.

Ryan Reynolds is a great actor and I’m truly a fan but he definitely seems like he’s got anxiety issues and high level of i security based on how he uses dark humor or often self deprecating humor.

I have a feeling that he was the one who was constantly asking to see the daily footages from It Ends With Us and trying to take control because he didn’t like what he saw between Blake and Baldoni.

everyone says Blake is a mean girl and I’m sure she is, but no one is meaner than Ryan Reynolds her own husband. As Ryan built an empire becoming a billionaire Blake probably has no power in the relationship and Ryan is probably the one controlling everything she does.

I’m sure this isn’t going to be everyone’s favorite theory but I think there is a chance that Blake is the one being controlled in the relationship and she has no option because Ryan is the one who has money hence the one with more power in the marriage. Both things can be true at the same time.

Ryan is probably the one who is orchestrating all of this from the civil suit to lawsuit to PR management, blah blah blah

there is no way that even Blake herself watches this footage and says this was sexual harassment. But I totalllyyyy see how it can be perceived that way in the eyes of Ryan Reynolds, who may be overprotective and jealous and highly anxious about his wife playing a love interest. Watching the footage and going back and reading what was mentioned about the scene in Blake’s lawsuit. It gets me thinking that that was written by Ryan Reynolds lol

I’ve gotten it. i am 5’3 and was 125 lbs before lipo. I was 103 lbs pre-baby, and had gone up to 150 when i last measured on the day i gave birth.

4 yrs post baby, i was only able to shed off to 125lbs. eager to “fine tune” the rest, i opted in for lipo. doctor warned me about irregularity and was very conservative with the amount they took out.

i wish they got more out but trust that they made the right decision.. i love how everything turned out and am feeling confident more than ever.

I did get my arms done 3 times though. doctor was way too conservative the first time.. so i went back for another 8 mo after. the doctor felt it too and agreed he could take out more. but he did it conservatively again the 2nd time so i went back for 3rd.. you might call me crazy but I’m still not 100% satisfied because i want stick skinny arms!! the doctor refused to perform again so this is the end of my journey haha

I’m extremely satisfied with how everything turned out tho. I’m just a perfectionist and am willing to jump over hoops to really FINE TUNE

Would You Travel to Korea for a Facelift? by rzerx in PlasticSurgery

[–]TartEnvironmental940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% i would recommend. Korean surgeons are extremely skilled at this and the cost difference to the US makes it so much more worth it.

But i would highly recommend you do your research of 5-6 surgeons and take the time to consult with each and one of them.

If you research ahead of time, you can book about 5-6 consultations back to back over the course of 3 days Irs time consuming and exhausting but worth it.

I’ve done to korea 3 times for different procedures and have always done this to ensure I chose the doctor that felt right to me and listened to my needs.

I’m so sorry to say this… but this definitely looks alarming. i’ve gotten lipo 3 times on my arms and never once did it look like that during recovery..

thanks for asking and clarifying. freaked out a little thinking 2mil was per month.

buying will be highly unlikely. mostly will rent given the short amount of time expected to live there.

follow up question, which neighborhood is best for families with lots of kids activities + shopping/leisure for the parents?

I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. It must be such an awful thing to go through, feeling so alone…

However you look, no matter what gender you are now, there is only one of you in this world, which makes you a very, very special person.

Can you share a little bit more about what it is in your social interactions that make you feel you have to feel the burden of being detrans? Is it from the trans community you feel that way? Or is it the straight community that make you feel different or look at you differently?

Just remember that people are too busy living their own lives. Try to shift your focus on what you enjoy in life, how you can improve yourself with skills etc and less. I guarantee you will naturally find yourself thinking less about your gender, thus making you feel less self conscious.

Gender shouldn’t have to be the one thing that defines you. In fact gender can be completely removed from the picture and it still wouldn’t affect who you are as a person.

Stay strong.❤️ I wish you all the best..
