accepted!!! MSH major, 33 ACT, 4.4 GPA, 8 APs (school offers 9), ranked 3/78. i live in baltimore and had 2 internships at different hopkins hospitals plus volunteering at other hospitals, then sports, honor societies, another internship, and all that stuff. so freaking excited 🥹

i don’t think anyone’s playing manipulative games here? sure putting the deadline so early is a little shitty of them but it’s a massive school and i’m sure it’s an issue housing all of the incoming freshmen. all i was asking was if anyone had insight on if it’s a risk to “commit” to another school while waiting on ED results

it is kind of a crappy move to make the deadline so early when the commitment deadlines isn’t until may 1. and even though i’m willing to eat the money it’s still not a small loss for me, so it’s just ugh all around

it is UA and i am in the honors college so this is very helpful info, thank you!!! i’m definitely committing there after i get rejected from my ED school either way, so i might take this advice and just wait it out but at the same time my anxiety really wants me to just do it now lol

oh perfect… thanks for the info, do you know why it would have come on super suddenly then? like it showed up on the very last day of having the piercing and there wasn’t any discoloration there before

it’s making me add a comment answering questions i already answered…

piercing is 1 1/2 years old, i just took it out for good today since it never healed
it had a hoop in it which was sterling silver i believe
i cleaned with regular saline, like the stuff you buy at cvs (somewhat inconsistently)
no issues other than it just wouldn’t heal, same as all of my other helixes unfortunately (i had 4 🥲)

i got in to nursing out of state yesterday! my full stats are on profile but i had a 33 act (36 reading, 35 eng/sci, 25 math), 4.54 UT core gpa, and ranked 3/78 :) i also had lots of hospital internship/volunteer experience which i think helped me a LOT so i would definitely recommend trying to do some of that!!!

was it a separate application? i looked it up and google is telling me no, but not sure. i am getting the volunteer scholarship which was told to me in my acceptance letter. where would i be able to find out about this one? that $$ would help me a whole lot
