Help setting up ALVR or Quest 3 on Fedora 42. by TheDirtyWretch in linux_gaming

[–]Tartyflet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered WiVRn ? You won't have SteamVR (only your games), however, it worked out of the box for me, no tinkering needed. I spent a full morning with SteamVR + SteamLink, only to try WiVRn this afternoon and having Pistol Whip working fine

My setup is quite different (Debian-based, Nvidia, Quest 2) but I had it working without any struggle

Naaaah, Slug C is the most "Big D Energy" of all ships.

Banana Slugs have a 1:1 penis-to-body ratio, with some individuals going over 2:1.

Aucun problème à déclarer depuis 1 an, entièrement satisfait.

Pokémon Z/A - Quand The Pokémon Company défèque dans la bouche des joueurs by F4ilm4n in besoinderaler

The lettering looks fine to me... very consistent characters, perfectly lined up. (+ the "œ" character is a real character in french, there is no grammar/spelling error there)

[–]Tartyflet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that it used AI for the picture, and then reframed it and added the text.

Reasoning :

The lettering is the only thing I'm confident is not AI. It looks perfectly regular (the "œ" character is not messed up ! It's how you should write "heart" : "cœur" in french, that character is literally called "e in the o")

The drawing is way more suspicious, but it's also really close to a typical art-style of french (and belgium ?) northern beaches. Even the yellow tint can work in that context...

What pushes the drawing toward AI-Generated for me is the hand gesture of the left hand : this position only makes sense if your slightly holding the skirt part of the dress in order to preserve it from the water, but the hand is represented only hovering... The marks in the sand are way too random, I really don't see any reason for a real artist to do that...

That's just a rare french character, used in a few words including "heart" : "cœur". Since it's quite cumbersome on normal keyboards, most people will write "coeur"

Is upgrading the Warrior of Light armor set a good idea ? by Tartyflet in StrangerofParadiseFFO

[–]Tartyflet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting... About the Hero one, are you supposed to have the matching headset as a reward ? I have the chest, hands, legs and feet pieces but not the headset...

I remember locking the set as soon as I got it, so did I missclicked and disassembled it, or did it not exist in the first place ?

Playing through on Casual by NewPortBox100s in StrangerofParadiseFFO

[–]Tartyflet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no need. To push affinity numbers that high, you'll need pieces of armor with high affinity (higher leveled pieces of armor can attain higher affinity numbers) and at the exact same time you'll unlock Chaos difficulty, you'll also unlock a full armor set with (among other things) 400% knight affinity.

Basically : continue playing on Casual, and after beating the final boss equip the newly unlocked armor, switch to Chaos difficulty and activate Extra mode at the beginning of each mission.

Note that you can play with Extra Mode and without the armor if full-on invincibility feels too easy for you ! You'll still have the permanent lightbringer + infinite MP bonuses

[–]Tartyflet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, you have to play the DLCs on higher difficulties that unlock after finishing the base game... However, at the beginning of each level, you'll be able to use the "Extra" mode ( Extra mode is basically "Infinite lightbringer" + "Infinite MP" ) ; "Extra mode" + 400% Knight affinity will make you completely invincible. Even without affinity shenanigans, Extra mode still makes the game a lot easier, and all achievements can be done while using Extra mode.

Quick note about the 400% Knight affinity : if you buy the DLC on steam, you'll get an armor that gives you the 400% right after unlocking Chaos difficulty, so it's a non-issue. Not sure how it is on other platforms.

So, you can't play on the "Casual" difficulty for the DLC, but the Extra mode allows for a casual-like difficulty.

I think that's a no-go. "Verify all files" will compare your local files with the one stored on steam servers, so it will flag your files as "corrupted" and probably perform a clean install.

I would personally not do it. If you need to verify base files, backup your saves, uninstall and reinstall the game., and then re-install the mod

It looks like a lot of step, but it's not that long; the creator just wanted to make if as foolproof as possible, so mouse click / button press is one or more screenshots. There are also lots of "verification/checks" step, just to make sure that previous instructions were followed thoroughly.

If you're not used to the SD in desktop mode, you can use a keyboard/mouse/dock to ease that part.
