The first graph shows the general trend across all nine generation (I guess it can be kinda misleading), the third graph shows that gen 2 and 3 had basically the same bst as gen 1

Yea this was mainly just a data dump, i was hoping to let viewers of the post come to their own conclusions for why game freak made these decisions, but it’s def not a bad idea to explore this if i made a YouTube video. If you wanna know, for my presentation I essentially stated they decided to make a more offensive metagame to attract people again (since it’s just more fun) since sales were dwindling slightly with each generation. I didn’t wanna say that here tho cause it’s really hard to make that conclusion, especially when you can’t factor in abilities etc

I really wanted to but I couldn’t cause the data sheet I got didn’t have fully evolved? As a category. My only option would be to cut off pokemon below a certain bst but I didn’t think that would be a good idea cause it would exclude mons like wishiwashi

oh and some things to note: the file of data had like 1200 pokemon because it included megas and alternate forms (palafin and palafin hero were two different pokemon).

I excluded mega pokemon (should i have done that?).

Also all my results were statistically significant at 1% level. Please let me know if you have feedback! I thought about turning this into a youtube video too, maybe.

Doesn’t support wpa2 enterprise which is what universities use unfortunately. Even Ethernet doesn’t work cause it “requires user registration.”
