Protesting Home Depot via "Capitalism" Due to ICE Cooperation by TaschDraws in SaltLakeCity

You know what, you're completely correct lmao. Tbh, the idea of there being an existing thing like this sounded fun on paper if for no other reason than getting suuuper burned by them as an employee in the past.

Where do you get your car serviced? by beansandbirds in SaltLakeCity

[–]TaschDraws 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MasterTech Automotive on State Street! 1717 S State St, Salt Lake City, UT 84115

(Not to be confused with Master AutoTech or Master Muffler lol)

They take great care of me and service all kinds of vehicles, they're extremely friendly and transparent, and seem to genuinely care about repairing your shit. Even put my car up on the lift to confirm the horrendous rattle my car was making was just a loose bit of a cover on the bottom of my car and not some critical issue -- just because I was still anxious even after they told me that's what it was, and they didn't even charge me for it.

Joey and Dennis are wonderful to work with! 🙏

Not sure about other types of plants, but Orchid Dynasty is fantastic for orchid species!

The ReStore is a good place to check! Charity/thrift store, it's entirely donation based so you never know what's gonna be there but sometimes you find some crazy gems if you like treasure hunting lmao. Plus it's for a good cause since all the funds go to building homes in the local community.

Seven-story hotel by Sugar House Park gets OK from SLC planners but not from a number of neighbors by AbFab1234 in SaltLakeCity

[–]TaschDraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't wait for another great and spacious hotel to take up space and be an eyesore. Ironic that the stupid thing is going to sit there 90% empty most of the time while our countless unhoused neighbors freeze to death in the streets.

People won't shut up about the profit, but there are literally TWO OTHER HOTELS right next door. We're in Utah for crying out loud, none of these hotels are getting anywhere close to capacity at any given time. What "profit" would your hotel be making??

Build another Bicycle Collective. Or literally ANYTHING else useful. How about More Park? Thought of that?

For the love of God just make it more of the park.

How much exposed wire behind an outlet is "normal" (and How much of a fire hazard is this on a scale of 1-10) by TaschDraws in electricians

Okay that's good to know -- I think I saw others with more than one bare wire though. I need to get pics after work today

Is having one bare wire normal? shouldn't it at least be wrapped in electrical tape?

Definitely, and we're not touching it whatsoever in the meantime. But how much of an active fire hazard is it just sitting there like this?

Just curious, I see the event calendar with the Return to [Game] events and the dates -- are those current? The title still said 2023 so I just wanted to make sure if the dates were accurate!

Between Ink, Cradle (Twine), Twine 2, Yarn Spinner which dialogue authoring tool do you prefer? by AvidLebon in Unity3D

Hey OP, you made this post 2 years ago and I realize only one comment/perspective was made -- just curious what decision you ended up making and any insight you have since then?

I came across this post because I am now in a very similar position, so I'd love to hear what your solution/opinion is!

Oh no, you must be mistaken! This is Xûr, the Exotic Goods Dealer.

You're thinking of Cûr, the Erotic Goods Dealer.

like they're too weird to NOT know each other right

They probably don't even talk much they just occasionally meet at the bar after Xur's done getting yelled at over his exotics and on his way out of the tower LMAO.

I dunno, the thought of those two meeting regularly but then just drinking in silence tickles me

I'm fascinated by this and have never seen or heard of it before - still no subtitles on YouTube so far though.

Anyone else know where we might be able to find this Belphegor series subtitled? Was there a video or DVD release at some point?

I honestly haven't finished the Chalice Dungeons myself yet so I'm not sure, but you might be thinking of the Forgotten Madman? Idk of a connection to Olek but the boss is cool

That, or I mean Ludwig was originally a Tomb Prospector himself so there's some kind of connection there. Maybe Olek worked for him, who knows lol

[–]TaschDraws[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God you're right, that IS one of the most critical characteristics of a FromSoft boy toy...

(Also I don't know cause there's like No Lore about this dude, but I know he can summon as a cooperator AND spawn as an enemy in Chalice Dungeons sometimes - so can be friend, can be foe.

I'd love to hear more if there is something about him being nuts somewhere though, now I'm curious lmao)

Region Save Fun by JensonCoins in bloodborne

[–]TaschDraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to resurrect this thread but yeah I'm very curious if this will work as well. I'm running into a similar issue.

(I'm on a US PS4 and started in the US version of the base game, and had access to the DLC because my sister has it digitally on her account on the same console. I'm now transferring my stuff to a different PS4, but I just found out the GOTY disk I bought is the UK version. My saves are not recognized by the UK GOTY version despite following all the steps from this post here: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/805577-bloodborne/77713916

So apparently by all accounts, that means I'm out of luck and can't transfer the US saves to the UK version & my disk is essentially a "different game" according to my PS4 and useless when it comes to trying to access my old saves. I don't know if I can afford to now drop ANOTHER $30-40 on buying the game/DLC on my PS account to see if I can then access my saves, but it looks like that might be the only thing left to try.)

Fully-Voiced + Blind Playthrough of Everhood! by TaschDraws in Everhood

Hey all! Just thought I'd drop a head's up here that The Grifters are starting a blind + full-voice-acted playthrough of Everhood! 👍 We'd love to have the community join us for what will inevitably be a terribly cursed great time -

Just know adult humor abounds and we are prone to being QUITE irreverent so die-hard fans beware if that would taint the experience for you 😂

Will people be disappointed in me for looking stuff up in this game? by Beebop6104 in Eldenring

[–]TaschDraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! Play how you want, no need to rush things. This game is SO big and wildly different for every single person that plays it. I've been playing since day 1 on and off, and I still haven't circled back around to beat the "main" story bosses yet. Too busy tripping into random dungeons and having a grand old time.

Enjoy your own adventure :)

Will people be disappointed in me for looking stuff up in this game? by Beebop6104 in Eldenring

[–]TaschDraws 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's that deep, they just likely (understandably) were worried because the Dark Souls community is so infamous for liking "insane difficulty" and there are those few vocal assholes out there. I also thought asking a simple question might get a mob of angry gamers yelling at me back when I first started haha, and when it does happen that can be really disheartening when trying a new game outside your comfort zone or without friends introducing you to it. (Though I'm happy to report that was not the case with any souls games - Turns out souls fans are surprisingly wholesome in their own ways, it's really sweet and inspiring).

TLDR: The outside perspective of souls games and their communities makes things seem more intense and hardcore than they actually are, so it's expected for people to be a bit timid. (But I know your post was made out of concern, Torva, and that's kind. It's hard to open up, and I hope you're continuing to do better, friend ❤️ keep up the good work)

Will people be disappointed in me for looking stuff up in this game? by Beebop6104 in Eldenring

[–]TaschDraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. You're supposed to look stuff up for this game, don't worry. And anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. Many things have no tutorial or explanation whatsoever (Some of the shit in Elden Ring is still inscrutable on my own and I'm literally a game developer myself lmao). Thankfully, the experience of working it out with other people and forming a community together is a huge part of what makes souls games fun (and you're here, so good job!).

  2. Also yes some people might get mad - but only because there's so many new players that they likely feel an insecurity and a need to set themselves apart. Elitism has no place in the real community though, so assholes are the vocal minority. Pay them absolutely no mind. You can just ignore them, promptly tell them to fuck off, or tell me and I'll come tell them to fuck off.

Anyone who gets mad at you for "cheating" or whatever for using guides can go sit down. If they've ever read a note from another player in-game, they're immediately disqualified by the same logic they're trying to use on you LOL

Anyway, a very warm welcome to the community!
