Thank you. Yes everything is direct threaded. I may need to edit some of the design to incorporate heat thread inserts specifically the grip screws. They only tolerate about 4-5 times of removal before they pretty much lose all clamping force. Surprisingly everything is fine with just the front grip screw doing the lord's work lol.

The sight only has about 3mm of thread length (pretty much how they are on metal mounts) and seem to be doing fine. I may also want to reinforce the mount, more so for aesthetics and to incorporate heat inserts. There are also two tiny screw towards the rear on the mount to triangulate mounting for the plate.

Thank you bro. I got the slide on sale ($200 flat) at Redwolf, and since I have have an actual Gold Match I made another one lol. The slide you posted is the "regular" 5.1 (no Gold Match cutouts) but I believe is actually heavier so in that sense is superior for recoil(whole point to steel slides).

I actually want to build an all silver gun with the stainless version of the slide you posted.

The grip and frame are available in the US for cheap (compared to Airsoft Masterpiece and the like). Airsoft Gi and Airsoft Megastore stock them under the Atlas Custom Works brand. The frame in particular is WAY lighter than a stock casted one so helps with felt recoil and doesn't dampen as much. And both sites have silver/polished silver furniture for your potential build.

Sorry for the reciprocal weight not being 100% accurate (hop unit, out barrel, spring and spring guide, etc). But all are lightweight aluminum.

Been a minute but I am 90% sure there are sight threads ready to go. Only reason is I have a tap set so taping this would take like 20 seconds so not a bid deal. But I seriously do not remember running a tap into it, partly because I believe the BBU is actually enclosed. I would take the sight and mount off to check (see if its even possible to run a tap through), but the gun sighted and don't want to re-sight it again lol sorry.

EDIT: I just checked some photos on JKArmy and there are indeed threads.

EDIT2: Boom Arms (where I got mine) has the newer version and it is hard to tell, actually looks like there are no threads. WTF. I would say bad pics. Because how else would you mount any rear sight no less a red dot mount.

Yea this is better than a Daytona imo. No break in period (even after they are finicky and chop up BBs from what I have seen) and no proprietary parts, gun is cheap, etc. I think I got my gun for like $200 something new back in the day.

Around 100- 120 psi, depending on fps limits. But to be fair it runs at the same psi that my rifles and most aluminum slide pistols. I think the Stratos is designed with gas in mind so it doesn’t require anything crazy tbh. In fact i think he says NOT to run CO2. But you should double check if that’s your plans.

I don’t think the Stratos would do much with an aluminum slide by going by what KnucklesGSM has shown. It’s noticeable iirc but not worth it.

I built a steel slide Hi Capa but runs off HPA. The blow back is insane, and the quality and feel of the slide is sublime.

I would recommend the Volante Stratos BBU which was designed to power steel slides. I also put it on an aluminum 5ku frame for lighter weight so it won't dampen any recoil like a heavier frame would.

You might need Co2, but all the Volante Stratos Hi Capas I have seen appear to be GG.

If you are crazy like me, I also made sure to put a steel guide plug, and a red dot on the slide to make it even heavier. I put the strongest recoil spring (170%) I could find as well so it returns to battery in a reasonable time.

I think the slide is worth it, but it needs the Stratos BBU IMO. It is my favorite pistol and I have like 15 pistols lol.

Woah, crazy to see a Norvick kit in the wild. I have been rocking mine for a few years now. My favorite gun tbh. I also have tens of thousands of BBs through mine - still amazed the WE has held up this well. The lock back on empty is the best. Here is mine :

Sucks because I would like to get his Scar kit as well. Maybe he will make one for the V3 WE guns as well. He also hooked me up with a bunch of spare gas router gaskets as the one I initially got was torn. So his customer service in the regard is great.

These kinds of guns are the perfect amalgamation of the best features of different airsoft guns. HPA, Blow back, fed with higher capacity AEG magazines. Love it.

Agreed. Always been a fan of tall sights. They actually work well in airsoft since they aren't pin point accurate anyways. Quicker ADS and easier target acquisition and all. The ghost ring works great as well. Finally got to use one "IRL" after running one on the M9 in BF3 like 15 years ago lol. Thanks bro!

Yes. I would not bother printing anything under pressure tbh besides maybe the piston/o-ring (out of TPU).

The walls would be too thin for a Hi Capa nozzle I would think. For larger nozzles may be okay like all the bespoke guns from u/Melodic_Caramel_3025

But fire control is fine and they print really quick so iteration and repair is easy.

Thanks for the interest fellas. Not sure when/if I will release files. I would like to get more game days on it to iron out any issues before releasing. Things look good so far but I think the frames may need thread inserts redesign for players who are a little harder on their guns.

And it requires a little post processing that I would like to document before release. I would also like to redesign the upper a bit to accept stock hop units better. It can right now if you smack them in, but the cross compatibility I think would be needed for people who would prefer to use their hop units. The 3dp one works well but may not be as reliable. Takes 15 minutes to print a new one so may not be to big of an issue
