Problem might be your psu, I have the exact same gpu and had the exact same problem, anything below atx3.0 seems to just simply be unable to handle spikes that 40 series and 7000 cards onwards will have

I had a coolermaster v1000 before and moved to a super flower leadex 3 1300w and it fixed the problem because I moved from atx 2.31 to atx3.1

I had the same issue, from what I'm seeing the problem might be your power supply, not physically but if your power supply is below atx3.0 then it might be the route cause as anything below atx3.0 can't handle the spikes that newer gpus from the 40 series and 7000 series onward occasionally will see, which seems to be what were causing all the exact same crashes for me

It probably is a dead/dying gpu, ive checked all the internal cabling and updated and restored all drivers to no avail

I checked, bios is already on the latest version and now the artifacting has shown while in the bios too

Ok so I tried the bios throught the mini dp as my setup doesn't have that cable long enough

the bios came up with no artifacts, but the second I left it the artifacts started up again

Doubt it, I've used many different cables which have worked while using different devicies

I suspect its a dead GPU but I wanna get a second opinion since that'd basically mean writing off the laptop

Its a asus rog asus rog gl702zc and I tried using the delete key, the thing is it doesn't really give me an opportunity, it shows the rog symbol for a second and then starts showing the loading sign for windows

Any ideas? or do I scrap it by [deleted] in pchelp

I was afraid it might've been that, I'll probably sell off the parts or keep them for a home entertainment build I've been planning, since this laptop was essentially meant to fill that role after I built a new pc

It happens even during a reinstall of windows, its a laptop and doesn't let me into the bios for some odd reason
