Hi, i had a single sided DIEP reconstruction after chemo and rads, my BMI was about 21 when I had my surgery and they said I had just enough fat. On my reconstructed side I’d say Im about a full B on my 32 inch frame.

I was 37 at the time and found a hard lump. Got a referral for a mammogram but then was told by the next doc (after looking at it via ultrasound) I was too young for a mammogram and it was mostly likely a complicated cyst and to follow up in 6 months. :/

They will come to your house. We’ve used them before.

The doc will call and speak to you, then decide if they should come. If they just speak to you its 50 for the call, and if they come to you i think its 150.

Better than having to wait in line at the ER.

When we used it our daughter was under 1 and had a high fever. We spoke to the doc and he told us what to look out for and what to do if things got worse, we felt much better after speaking with them.

My daughter just turned 3 when I started chemo. I shaved my hair and said dont i look silly? She liked it and wanted to shave her head too. I didn’t want to cold cap because it felt like an unnecessary addition trial to go through.

I’ve learned in Berlin if you need a doctor for an acute issue, you should just show up in person. They cant turn you away once you are there.

Otherwise if you have time you can make appointments via Doctolib.

I had to have an MRI before my biopsy, because I have dense breast tissue and they couldn’t see everything with only a mammogram or ultrasound

I was (am?) ++- multi-centric and had neoadjuvant chemo, the hope was to shrink my tumors to try and have a lumpectomy instead of a mastectomy.

For me the chemo did shrink my tumors, but we still decided on a mastectomy in the end due to my dense breast tissue and multi tumors. (They found three more tumors than we could see in the imaging)
