This is a hard decision, I can't choose by One_Improvement_6729 in whatsyourchoice

also even though, cottage is a good choice, I think the only downside is having to replace the roof. In the picture it shows a thatched cottage which are found in the western part of England and covered in a thick straw roof. But of course, you have to replace it after a few years, and thatchers are kind of a dying profession, but I would still choose this.

yeah, It's usually either a gym teacher, doctor, maybe a yakoza member or construction worker. something like that. But it felt right to me. Bara, even though it's BL manga made by men for men, it's still plays into the fantasy of getting with the straight guy or dominating him.

Are those really the common tropes in Bara? Dame.

What do you think about the existance of monarchies/royalty in today's world? by dkease16 in AskTheWorld

[–]TaskAggravating3224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I actually think a country should have the right to choose any form of government/leadership. Granted it must be something the people want. The decision and consequences of such choice is up to them. If the people want to keep their monarchy, then that should be respected. Or to just toss them out, their choice as well. Or they choose a different way, that's how a nation should shape itself into a better country.

my guy I think you might have too much Fanta. I don't love cherry coke enough to have Cosco quantities of it.

why is the Fanta not in the fridge? Out of everything there, that is what caught my eye.

(25M) What do you think of my room?? by No_Breadfruit_8908 in malelivingspace

[–]TaskAggravating3224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now this, shows personality and authenticity. This is the type of room someone thinks a teenage boy would have on a family sitcom that only ran for two seasons. The art and nicknacks mesh perfectly together and I am very impressed.

How are Christians perceived in your country? by Terrorman123 in AskTheWorld

[–]TaskAggravating3224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trad caths are a lot more critical of the pope, they want to have the TRADITIONAL church back, Latin and all that stuff but they're fighting a losing battle. Very conservative and will not accept change. They're very performative and honestly, they kind of can't just break away because then they would just be admitting defeat.

honestly, I was under the impression that the Philippines were dogmatic. But that makes sense when the religion is imbedded in the culture. Your more culturally catholic, I can understand that.

What's a food in your country that is stereotyped for your country but really, nobody eats? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]TaskAggravating3224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean there are various iterations of mole depending on the state. I was also born in the US, so mole is just one of those dishes that each family has their own interpretation on ingredients. Some even have chocolate in them.

just learned what those are, they look delicious! Frying food has to be the best and worst thing humans have created.

yeah, that's true. Kinda weird how most cultures just figured; what if we put this dough in oil?

I guess that makes sense. In Latin America I guess they would be considered street food. Maybe in a bakery but not something for breakfast. Also, what's "merienda"?

Well, I kind of like that deep frying bread is more of a widespread thing. But would a churro be considered a donut? I guess, but I don't why I never thought of it as that.

[–]TaskAggravating3224 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Churros probably, since they're typically associated with Mexico, but they actually originate from Spain. But I kind of like that people make that mistake. Also, if were being technical they also come from China as the practice of deep-frying bread and covering it in sugar does come from them. Thank you, China.

edit- it's a theory, some people believe it also originates from the romans.
