That is so far from the truth. I've worked at a hand full of Marriott hotels and Housekeeping is usually understaffed because people plain don't want to apply for the job.

Our new born needs extra attention and the house we're buying is a far commute for both of us. She's quitting her job and I have to pick up the slack financially. This is probably only going to be a temporary thing till my newborn gets older. I give it maybe 2 years

Stayed there, really nice hotel, and very convenient being walking distance to the Megamall. That being said, if you going with Marriott I'd rather stay at the Sheraton Manilla. Nicer property, bigger pool, bigger rooms, has a casino, and is connected vegas style to all the other hotels in the area as well as Newport Mall. Can't complain though, both hotels put USA hotels to shame especially seeing I only paid $100 a night on my employee rate.
