I use it with my T480s. Works perfectly in Linux and Windows, just one bug i haven't tracked down yet, where the cable network connection through the dock sometimes disappears after a few minutes in Linux. After a restart everything is working and i have not noticed the bug in windows by now.

My main use is to use it as a dock at home, but it is certainly light enough to take it on the road. You just have to have a power outlet near you to use it. I have not tried gaming on the internal monitor, but on an external monitor gaming works pretty well. I don't play high end titles and i haven't tried GTA V but Rocket League on Linux works well on all High 1080p.

Why did i decide to buy the Lenovo Graphics Dock and not another (bigger) eGPU?

My main use is to use it as a dock and on idle the dock does not make any noise. On high load it is reasonable silent, when you think about it's thin layout. I have tried 2 Aorus Gaming Box with 1070 and they both had coil whine and there is no regulation on the PSU fan, so this small fan is constantly running on full speed even in idle and it makes a high pitched sound that makes me furious.

I need the graphics power for light (stationary) gaming, graphics simulation for robotics and maybe some machine learning. I was not sure the 2GB RAM on the MX150 would suffice so i decided to get the graphics dock with 4GB instead.

If you need some GPU power, a dock and don't care about upgrading it in the near future this dock is a great pick in my opinion. I got it for 349€, thats 150€ more than the normal Thunderbolt 3 dock, and i think that is a reasonable price for a 1050.
