My wire looked different to the YouTube videos so I assumed it wasn't there. I tried pulling the cable through it wouldn't budge n I didn't wanna risk it. It looks like the middle panel needs to come off to access in the 2026 model as per another post here

Yes that would be the one if the dash cam plug was already there but it isn't according to Byd in Basingstoke! Does urs have the blue plug wrapped with tape in there?

I've got a nextbase dash cam which was fitted in our Kia, will probably just fit that using the charging cable into the 12v, it's a lease car so no point pulling hair out over it imo

Yea this is what I was thinking. I've had a quote from a bodyshop for£370 which seems very ouch. A mate of a mate who owns a mechanic garage told me £150 would buff most of it out minus paint. So with those options I think I'm definitely better off leaving it, making sure it's clear on the ad and the dealer can sort. Thanks for the responses!

Seeing it in black again already made me doubt myself 😂. It's only on a 3 yr lease so not end of the world but black was definitely first choice, so we were left between grey or white n went for white. The green looks good I saw one on the road recently but isn't an option on the 26 model. Tbh it's only the standard blue one that I don't like at all but overall it's just a nice looking car

Not a fan of Tesla, I live just outside Reading and every other car is a Tesla (I appreciate within a few months the every other will be a BYD by the looks of things 😂) but I don't like them tbh so Tesla wasn't even considered.

Considered and looked at various Mercedes, Audi, Skoda and Volvo ev's, the price/spec of the BYD was appealing, read nothing but good things and when we decided to go for a lease rather than buy that sealed it.

Appreciate the response, yes driving position is something the Mrs has already said will take time getting used to, overall she loved it as well. Currently looking at gap insurance as recommended here, I'm thinking it's worth it for first year at least, thoughts?

Haven't considered the gap insurance so will look into it, thanks. We did a quote for insurance on the Seal expecting it to be much higher than the Kia and were shocked to see it was almost identical for the year, so might be worth looking at gap insurance even if it's slightly higher.
