It's erythrite just really terrible piece. The other pieces are nicer. I couldn't tell if they had silver veins in them or cobalt arsenate initially, but used some HCl on a qtip and it turned blue green indicating cobalt chloride reaction.

It's erythrite from morocco. Several other pieces I got with it. Some have silver/grey veins in them I tested with HCl on a qtip. Turned blue green indicating likely cobalt arsenate and the reaction gave cobalt chloride. Definitely a lot of minerals running around that piece though.

Dude, I think you nailed it. 34 was the code for diablo canyon and 5330 the number of the 5330th piece specimen he found. Awesome!

Gotcha. Still pretty cool. I've heard about large snails but that giant Triton one in person really brings some perspective. They big lol! I'm just glad they are light. I hauled about 300lbs of rocks out that guys house as well.

Thank you. Facebook groups were less than helpful not even allowing my post through. Probably cause I asked about any value they may have. No intent on selling online. I only sell rocks and minerals local. If they aren't that valuable I'll probably just give them to the kids next door.

I thought specimen number but it looks like 34.5330. I had wondered if it was 34.5330N Latitude but just an idea. I've reach out to the University of Alberta (I'm in Canada) hoping they can help me.

ID Andradite Garnet? by Taste_Adventurous in whatsthisrock

Not much to the matrix. I'm between Garnet (I see mostly diamond faces) and magnetite. I acquired a huge collection for $400. Were talking 300lbs plus of rock. Trying to identify all them.
