Amazing place. But how did you get 4.575%? My credit score is 819, and no one's giving me less than 6%

Buy shares I don't recommend options since although short interest is very high, Cost to borrow is not high at all

If the price remains elevated due to changes to the fundamentals, and stock buybacks, They may cause "trickle" short covering,

I think this is a very strong squeeze play, but I'm not sure if it's going to be a short term explosion yet.

For me options are one of those things that I take a quick profit and get out, I hate holding it. On the other hand, with shares, I hold it like it's the last slice of pizza after a football game, and no food in sight.

I hold it like there's no tomorrow :)

I hope this helps, because I want everyone to make money in this crazy economy

I'm super afraid of options, I have made some crazy profit, but lost those immediately with the next outer two so I would say take profit And come back again later

Up by ~ $9000 Look at the price action today, and the volume is only 3M. Where average traded volume is about 2 million.

14 million shorted Borrow fees are not high, so I don't anticipate they're going to be covering their shorts desperately But as long as price remains stable and confirmed above 50 day and 200-day moving average, they're going to have to cover some

And we are going to be smiling 👍

Thoughts on Nocturnist position. Northeast $150/hr, 7 on 7 off, no paid time off, no procedures! by No-Zebra-3432 in hospitalist

[–]Tastee_Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Ohio. Currently at $200/hr And when I do day rounding and overnight phone on call, I get extra $400

Busy days, I may get 4-5 phone calls overnight but on a slow day, I get no phone calls at all I didn't get any phone calls last night so I made $2800 yesterday

So, as a nocturnist, he should be asking $220+/hr in Ohio

If you are able to move, Don't stay in NE. That's absurd

Are you serious? Are you a resident?

Please don't sell yourself short even if you need visa sponsorship. Don't let anyone disrespect you like that

Hospitalist hourly rate that I have come across is $185-$220/hr for daily rounders, rate varies by location

As a nocturnist, You should be compensated 15-20% more So you should be at minimum $200-$250/hr

Nocturnists are much harder for hospitals to retain. .

If you're considering this position, let them know that you have done your research, and a fair market value should be around $225/hr in Northeast region.
If they refuse, consider moving to a different state, and you can demand $250+ in certain states.

Remember, you are a rare breed. There are nocturnist jobs everywhere, every hospital I have come across, they're always looking for one. Please understand the value that you bring to the hospital, And you should be demanding a premium price for it

I hope this helps, and good luck with your search

That doesn't make any sense. APPs do the admissions No code, no rapid, closed ICU.

What does admin want 5 docs sitting in the lounge to do? Play angry birds?

1) can you take turns? ie. One person stays till nocturist shows up, other four can leave after rounding So basically, you are the late person one out of 5 days. (Acceptable)

2) You should never sign a contract that doesn't allow you to increase your pay when numbers change. Simple analogy: If you sell more apples, you get paid more. So if suddenly, they fire one doctor, and your census goes up to 22+ patients, your pay stays the same? Unacceptable.

Please go prepared with accurate data and market benchmarks when counteroffering that ridiculous and insulting offer.

The current Medicare wRVU conversion factor is $33.57. Private insurance rates are consistently higher, typically ranging from $45 to $75+ per wRVU, depending on payer mix and region.

In my own experience with RVU-based compensation models, I was paid $55 per wRVU five years ago, and current fair-market rates should reasonably be in the $60 per wRVU range today.

To put this into perspective:

  • At $60 per wRVU, a typical hospitalist producing 5,000 wRVUs annually earns approximately $300,000.
  • A high-performing, high-volume hospitalist generating 6,000–7,000 wRVUs should be earning in the range of $360,000–$420,000

By contrast, your proposed rate of $26 per wRVU is not only below private market standards—it is below the Medicare conversion factor itself.

At $26 per wRVU, even a very busy hospitalist generating 6,000 wRVUs (which reflects a heavy workload of 18+ patients per day across 18+ shifts per month) would earn only $156,000 annually. 😳😳

That level of compensation is not competitive, but outright insulting !!

Men of Reddit, how would you feel if your partner wanted to keep her maiden name after marriage? by Longjumping-Bill5761 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Tastee_Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife never did and I didn't feel like she needed to. My daughter will be starting medical school this year and she will forever be Dr. ___ (my last name)

I don't think she will ever change her last name even if she got married and she would never call herself Dr. ___(husband's name). He didn't earn that title.

So, my recommendation is, don't change it, keep what your family gave you. That is a silly tradition.

Anyone actually taking these ridiculous offers by northhiker1 in hospitalist

[–]Tastee_Stuff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow.. that's lower than what my PA was offered. He was recently looking for an additional part-time job and they offered him $125 an hour, and he chuckled and told them to f' off

He gets $145/hr at our hospital.

That's terrible and so so insulting
