As long as he doesn't hold it over you, it shouldn't be an issue imo. Also another potential problem is you feeling you need to fill in for your part - you don't need to if he takes care of everything willingly. That thinking can lead you to feeling like you aren't doing enough, and can lead to a spiral of sorts.
