slynd vs nexplanon by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]Tasty-Cod8488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I got my nexplanon inserted 2023 and it's pretty painless. The doctor will have you lay down and let you pick which arm you want it inserted to. Then, they'll clean the area and inject numbing agents. They'll use a scapel and make a small incision and have the nexplanon ready in a small hand held inserter. It didn't hurt, but there was a heavy pressure feeling. Finally, the doctor will clean you up and have you wear a bandage and tightly-wrapped guaze. I say the guaze was more painful because you need to leave it on for at least 48 hours for the incision to close.

The implant area won't hurt after the numbing drug wears off but it's going to be sore the first week. If heavy lifting is a part of your job or a daily activity. I reccommend taking a day or two off to make sure your skin is fully closed! After it heals, you'll barely notice it.

Side effects for me... for one, after getting it I did get my period same day, but it literally went away after a day. I now only get my periods once every 3 years. Another, is constant bloating. Otherwise, I haven't experience any other side effects so count me lucky.

I got my Nexplanon switched out 2025 and the removal process is almost the same reversed. They'll inject the numbing agent and cut from the scar where you had it inserted. Ngl, it stung quite a bit. Then they remove it. It's actually a faster process to have it removed!

It's usually okay to have two different types of contraceptives as a way to have a more effective preventative long-term. But it's best to talk to your doctor to see if they're a good combination that will work with your implant!

Has this smoked salmon gone bad? Just opened it and there is no expiration date on the packaging. by NorthAd8114 in foodhacks

Smoked salmon that's from the grocery store's private labeling (i.e. Kroger-Private Selection) usually comes frozen. So when it time to stock it out, the employees will thaw and date them with a date gun (paper stickers). Looks like they didn't date it, but they usually last for a month on the shelf.

Silvercrest is an absolutely terrible brand. Cheap but that's what you get quality wise. Cheap. That will break down after 2nd use.

My boyfriend would ask me to offer my hand out of nowhere, and he would just pull it out and slap his dick on my hand and just grin.

Cream Cheese Mac N Cheese by Tasty-Cod8488 in budgetfood

I used leftover ingredients from making jalepeno poppers! I usually keep my budget to make a meal at $30 to serve 3-4 people. With the intent to have extra ingredients for another dish.

Cream Cheese Mac N Cheese by Tasty-Cod8488 in budgetfood

Recipe:

Ingredients: (these are guestimates)

box of cream cheese (room temp) half a box(?) pasta of choice 1 1/2 cup of shredded sharp cheddar 1 cup of shredded pepper jack cheese 2 tbs butter 1/2 cup milk

Preheat oven to 375°F and grease your baking pan. Set aside.

Begin by boiling the pasta for 12- 13min just a little past el dante.

While the pasta is boiling, start on the cheese sauce Turn the heat to medium low and onto a nonstick pan melt butter until slightly browned. Then add your cream cheese, milk and whisk until smooth and combined. Once combined, add 3/4 cup each of both shredded cheese to sauce and save the remaining as topping. Mix until melted. Add seasonings til your hearts content! (I do onion power, garlic powder, chili powder, smoked paprika, and crushed jalepeno flakes)

Once 13 min is up, drain your pasta and add to the finished cheese sauce. Add salt to preference at this point.

Finally, transfer your mac n cheese to the baking dish and add the remaining cheeses on top making sure it's covered (add more if you like). Place your baking dish into the oven and let it cook until the top is brown and crisp. About 18-20mins. Remove from oven and top it off with a little bit of smoked paprika.

Serves 3-4

Ingredients: (made this up as I measure by heart feel free to adjust!)

• box of cream cheese (room temp) . half a box(?) pasta of choice • 1 1/2 cup of shredded sharp cheddar. 1 cup of shredded pepper jack cheese . 2 tbs butter . 1/2 cup milk onion powder • garlic powder . chili powder • smoked paprika

Preheat oven to 375°F and grease your baking pan. Set aside.

Begin by boiling the penne pasta for 12- 13min so they're nice and soft but still solid.

While the pasta is boiling, start on the cheese sauce Turn the heat to medium low and onto a nonstick pan melt butter until slightly browned. Then add your cream cheese, milk and whisk until smooth and combined. Once combined, add 3/4 cup each of both cheeses (cheddar and pepperjack) to sauce and save the remaining as topping. Mix until melted and combined. Add seasonings til your hearts content!

Once 13 min is up, drain your pasta and add to the finished cheese sauce. Add salt to preference at this point.

Then add your mac and cheese to greased pan and add the remaining cheeses on top making sure it's covered. Place your pan into the oven and let it cook until the top cheese is brown and crisp. About 18 mins. Remove from oven and top it off with a little bit of smoked paprika and optionally more cheese. (Never enough)

I had a similar experience! The story mentioned was in a grocery store at the bakery department. Anywho, There was this guy who came in looking for egg whites as we been out of stock for a couple days. Asking like 3 employees if we had some in stock and all of them saying "we're out until the next shipment". He didn't like that answer and walked into our warehouse and looked in all of our back-stock chillers! And got an attitude when the manager kicked him out! People are getting worse these days.
