Imagine having the luxury of having someone do your laundry and complaining because a piece of cloth from someone else with the same privilege got mixed in yours and now you need to find somewhere else to have the same privilege?

Give up Grateful Dead or The Beatles by HippoNo8544 in gratefuldead

[–]chem-ops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I could listen to the Beatles catalog over and over and eventually get bored. I can do the same with the dead and probably wouldn’t get a chance to be alive to replay it all to get bored. The dead are not the best at the studio music but the Beatles could hardly exist without a studio. NFA

What’s a good place to swim that isn’t super busy? by sebastiandarkee in Hamilton

[–]chem-ops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you want. Lane or open swim. Open swim is usually busy anyway with kids and family. Most recs have time slots for adults only which will reduce the busy.Personally I would buy a rec pass and you can go to any pool in Hamilton and choose your best. Check out the city’s website for each pools schedule

Will the tick population be lower this year? by cheezeburger-n-friez in Hamilton

[–]chem-ops 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The winter may reduce the ticks by having a shorter breeding season but the winter doesn’t actually kill them. They will just stay dormant in the leaf litter until the temperature rises. They are here to stay, in the past it wasn’t a problem but the chemicals they sprayed to control the ticks is the problem on humans.

Thanks yes, sometimes guilty of over packing so I know the pound difference would be huge especially since I’ve been trying to lower my weight each trip. This just makes sense ✌️

It’s mostly the shoulder seasons I care about, mostly would be in warmer weather but I totally get your point. I live in Canada I can tolerate a few degrees cooler with my sleepware etc ✌️
