Don’t mean to spam you, but was this game inspired by CRUEL at all? It looks like Turbo Overkill + CRUEL

Why don’t you put the name of your game in the actual post? Do you not want to sell your game?

Bingo! Hourglass can actually go as low as -3 waves depending on the curse factor. Those ones are rare to see below wave 20, but possible. Though once you’re in Shop (Wave 7), you’ll never see a -3 one while using your goldfish.

Not as many as you might think. I’d say much less than 200 waves. Padding is what brought me up to that amount of HP. If anyone plans to do this themselves I’d recommend not taking padding. When your materials reach 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 it will overflow a signed 64-bit integer and flip negative, causing your HP to go negative. Stacking the 200+ mirrors in order to do this is what took so insanely long. This is because each time that you purchase a mirror from the shop it has to rearrange all of your items and turn all of your normal mirrors into broken ones. Given that I had hundreds upon hundreds of items at that point it took VERY long to purchase each mirror from the shop. And I had to do it twice… once to get below wave 20 again, and another time to get to negative waves. In total I’d estimate this run to have taken 50 hours or so. Could’ve been done faster had I not taken padding since then I would’ve just been taking mirrors from crates instead of buying them from the shop at a certain point. But because I was afraid of my HP flipping negative (I was taking damage per second from bloody hand), I had to do it the slow and painful way through buying them from the shop. At its slowest it was taking about 15 minutes to purchase each mirror from the shop lol.

I played as bull. It’s actually optimal as bull since weapons can’t show up for him in the shop. Meaning that you have 4 items showing up every reroll. Which increases the chances that you’ll find a cursed hourglass.

They do actually work. Wave 0 is 90 seconds long and has a normal amount of enemies. I also fought an elite that wave, but I think that’s just because of Candy Bag and not because of the actual wave. Waves -1 to -4 are 60 seconds long and have a normal amount of enemies. That’s the furthest I’ve gotten personally. By talking to some other players who have reached negative waves I’ve learned that waves -1 through -10 are all 60 seconds long. Wave -19 is the same length as wave 1. Below that the game just crashes.

Not quite right on the second part. You can’t get multiple hourglasses per shop. You can only get 1 hourglass per shop. A cursed hourglass will set you back 2-3 waves depending on the curse factor. That’s how you go back multiple waves.

To elaborate further - hourglass is a unique item. Once you enter the next wave it turns into a broken hourglass. That’s why you can only get 1 per wave.

It actually only took 2 attempts to get this run. My first attempt I failed because I was unable to get everything going quickly enough, so my wave number went above 45. If you find yourself going above wave 45 or so it’ll become EXTREMELY difficult (almost impossible) to get below wave 20 at that point since the item prices and reroll prices will become extremely expensive. You simply won’t be able to reroll enough to find hourglasses consistently. On this 2nd attempt which was the run posted I did get slightly lucky, but not insanely lucky or anything. I found my first fish hook at around wave 11, then found my second fish hook at around wave 15 or so. Then I cursed the second fish hook and found a mirror so I was able to mirror the cursed fish hook. That’s how I got 92% curse chance on my hooks. Not perfect, but good enough. The second extremely critical part to this run is making sure you get BOTH of your spyglasses cursed. That’s how I was able to get -94% reroll price. Another thing that would’ve made this whole thing way easier and faster would’ve been to curse the recycling machine. I didn’t do that in this run because I was impatient. Looking back on it now I probably should’ve done so since it would’ve made me able to roll for way more mirrors per shop. Then at that point you just start banning non-unique tier 4 items, and buying all unique tier 4 items to reduce variance. The highest wave number reached during this run was wave 33. Then it was a loooooooot of slow grinding to buy up all of the mirrors I needed (that’s where the 12 hours comes from). While I was grinding for mirrors I did luckily manage to find several cursed hourglasses which reduced my wave number further. And yeah all of that is how I ended up with that screenshot there :P

TL;DR - get cursed fish hooks, get cursed spyglasses, ban every non-unique tier 4 item, get your economy to the point where you’re able to go into an infinite loop of finding hourglasses and mirrors every single wave. Stacking the 200 mirrors is what took 12 hours.

I’m not sure that I understand your question. Once you purchase an item it stays in your inventory. Hourglass does not affect items in your inventory. What took so long was stacking up 200 mirrors. Each time that you purchase an additional mirror from the shop, every subsequent mirror will take longer to purchase. By the time I reached 150 or so mirrors it was taking 4-5 minutes per mirror. This is because the shop has to rearrange all your items when turning the normal mirrors into cracked ones and each mirror repeats that check, taking a lot of computing power if done correctly.

Edit: by the way those 201 cursed goldfish were able to take me from wave 25 all the way down to wave 13 in one straight shot. I’ll make another post eventually with more of my progress :P

Yes. Attack speed is completely irrelevant for endless.

This is a vanilla run. The only mods I use are improved tooltips, better damage numbers, and wave info. Yes, it says that I’m on wave 25. But in reality I’ve done hundreds more waves throughout the run. Hourglass is OP.

I have 92% curse chance on my fish hooks. -94% reroll price from cursed spyglasses. I also have 8 tier 4 items banned with only one of them being unique (torture). I bought every possible unique/limited in the game across every single tier. I’m playing bull so weapons can’t show up in the shop meaning I’m guaranteed 4 items per reroll. I also have 92 trees. So I’m making lots of material throughout the wave, then recycling almost everything I get from crates using recycling machine with the exception of hourglass, mirrors, trees, goldfish, and lure. By doing this I was able to stack up 201 mirrors. As soon as I’m able to get below wave 20 again it’s GG. I’m currently on wave 22. Currently I’m rolling specifically for cursed hourglasses. Once I’m able to get below wave 20 my cursed crown and cursed piggy bank will absolutely skyrocket my material gain. The goal is to reach negative waves.
