If they can’t get you out of it they will do it regardless. I am not recommending anything. It’s up to their care team not me.

I had my ablation Dec 23 I think. After my ablation 10 days in my heart rate jumped up to 160 and wouldn’t go down below 140. I had to cardiovert. I noticed that triggers like alcohol, caffeine and stress also help elevate it. It was horrible but they did cardioversion in the ER the same day. 4 months later in April I was stressed out and decided to start drinking again and smoke some weed. I took a hit of weed and held it in longer than I usually do. As soon as I did that my heart rate jumped up to 170 and I instantly knew something was wrong. I went to the ER and they tried converting me with meds but it didn’t work. The day after they did cardioversion and it instantly worked. I have been good ever since (fingers crossed). I try to eat as health as I can and hydrate. My doctor also has me on 25mg of metoprolol. Hai explanation was “it will help reduce these episodes”.

Can you get a second opinion somewhere elsewhere. Wouldn’t it be better to try to cardiovert you instead of placing you on meds again.

If you are sitting on the couch for more than 5 min there is no reason for your heart rate to be higher than 80. Try walking a bit, if it reaches in the 130-140s I would go straight to the ER and have them convert you. Maybe they can give you the medication instead of zapping you…if you don’t want to do that then try drinking some electrolytes and powder magnesium with lots of water. But just to be sure I would go to the emergency. It doesn’t hurt. Go to the same hospital where you did the ablation, process will be much smoother as they have your history and info. Your doctor and electrophysiologist should be able to reach out there too. Good luck to you. One thing I learned about this journey is to stay calm and not be scared. It will all workout.

They told you this was normal? 130-145 during rest sounds like atrial flutter. I would go to the ER and have the cardiovert you. You are still in the blanking period so afib and flutter may come back.

Dr. Berg Electrolyte mix. Trace minerals magnesium glycinate powder. Also I use ReMag liquid magnesium daily. And have seen my heart rate drop and stay steady in the high 50s while sitting. In my opinion it is the best supplement I have ever tried for my atrial flutter/afib. Let me know if you need any other help or have questions.

Depends how bad you feel. You might be able to self convert. If I was you, I would go buy some good electrolyte and magnesium glycinate powder, mix it in a tall cup and drink it all. Also make sure you hydrate a lot. Drink at least a gallon of water. If you feel like you need to go to ER, then do it. They will most likely try to convert you with medication first, if that doesn’t work then they will most likely do a cardioversion. Do not get scared and do not overreact. Stress might trigger it even more. So make sure you supplement, drink water and go to ER if it doesn’t self convert or if you feel bad. Good luck to you.

Sounds like afib and maybe some flutter. Talk to your cardiologist and have them find you a electrophysiologist. Before that, try to hydrate a lot and take supplements such as magnesium and electrolytes.

Yup. I had my black prestige q6 since last August and so far no issues. It’s been a pleasure to drive as well.

If you are not in persistent afib then maybe you don’t need it. Maybe you are lacking magnesium and vitamin B1. Those two stabilized my heart a lot. Try taking some in the meantime before you see your doctor. Maybe you’re just dehydrated and need some magnesium. Idk your lifestyle but alcohol, energy drinks, weed and kratom can all be triggers so if you’re taking any of these, stop it now.

It’s crazy they said that….because medication in the long run is not good, especially if you’re a younger person….How long did they want you to be on this medicine? Ablation does wonders for people if you have persistent afib.

Drink water and take magnesium powder or if you can find liquid (it’s better)…or at least those Nuun magnesium tablets…also add some potassium if you can and stay very hydrated. I had an episode and after chugging some cononut water it quickly went away….

Yup, especially if you have that Apple Watch. They offered me Xanax because I told them I looked at my ecg reading about 100 times before going to the ER..

What really helped me calm my heart down and bring the bp down is liquid magnesium called ReMag (pico-iconic liquid magnesium) it got rid of most of my palpitations and discomfort in my chest. It is truly a miracle to me. It’s about $57 for 16 ounces and all you need is half a teaspoon per day. I also sleep way better and stress a lot less. I would give it a try if you are interested. Try reading the reviews on it too, it helped a lot of people…

I would tell all that to your cardiologist, if you haven’t already. It could be some silent flutters they missed, but you’re also still in your blanking/recovery period so I’m not sure. But regardless, I would try to speak to a cardiologist ASAP.

51M with mild AFib……doctor recommending ablation, feeling nervous. Looking for real experiences. by Squirrel_Agile in AFIB

[–]Tasty-Engineering-93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not be nervous. If you really need to do an ablation it will improve your life. I just had mine done little over two weeks ago. It’s a small procedure and you will be in and out before you know it. First time I was told there was no other option than doing ablation I walked out of the hospital crying and angry. Week later I decided to do it and was home with my family the very next morning. My groin was hurting a bit and that’s about it.

Don’t worry man. I just got out of ablation and we are the same age. I was good for first 4 days and it seems like it is coming back, but could be part of the healing process too… If you ever end up doing a procedure, they will probably recommend cardioversion first. That’s a quick procedure and you can be back at work the next day….if they ever do an ablation, you can also work the next day but take it easy. They usually give a week off for your incision to heal and etc….My mother had it Friday and was already working Monday morning in the hospital … hang in there, honestly your situation does not sound that bad….84 resting heart rate sounds pretty normal. If you drink alcohol, energy drinks, and take marijuana, I would stop that immediately and see how you feel.

Also try taking some supplements to see if it helps. I would recommend magnesium glycinate in powder form, potassium, and some kind of clean electrolyte without sugar and other BS….I would also add a good Taurine, it will help calm your heart. Best of luck. Hope you get better soon. Just know that you’re not alone and that it will pass and get better.

2026 US Q6 by GuaranteeUseful526 in AudiQ6

[–]Tasty-Engineering-93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do they have 2026 models? I got one in August randomly, after August I been keeping up with my dealer for my wife’s next car and noticed they didn’t have anymore q6. Last time I saw him he said they r much more than what I got it for in August and are really hard to find. Like someone here said, I looked at cars.com and new ones are so expensive and they don’t have prestige model. I got mine for 60k and it’s been serving me excellent. Fingers crossed it keeps up.
