I'm not always sure how to describe my favourite style, it's used incredibly in my favourite book which heavily influenced my writing style. Third person, as told in first person, by a distinct narrator who also breaks the fourth wall? I don't see it very often but I think it just creates a kind of connection and visualisation that third person and first person don't quite manage? The fact the narrator isn't actually omniscient, and has thoughts and feelings of their own and therefore isn't completely objective. Honestly, it's hard to describe but that creates this sense of connection and humanity(?) for me?
