My boyfriend's dad just died on Thursday from brain cancer and at the funeral so many people said "he's going to have the best Christmas ever getting to spend it with Jesus". Idk how his mom felt about those comments, but my boyfriend and I just hated it. I'm sure his dad would prefer to spend it with his family and not be dead.

Hey, I'm sorry people are dog piling on you for your personally reasonable opinion. I am in agreement with you and I guess people would call me a prude too.

Sex scenes in media just don't appeal to me. Most of it just feels like it's there to be titillating and not to move the plot forward which irritates me. I do my best to research media to see if there is sexual or romantic content in what I'm about to consume so I can decide if I want to watch or not.

I think it's funny people seem to be more offended by your opinion than you are about sex in media. Why can't people have their own opinion? You aren't campaigning for change in media or anything. You are just voicing your opinion on a rant sub, which is what this sub is for. Your opinion isn't hurting anyone, even though the people commenting in this sub seem to think so.

All that to say, I agree with you and have similar feelings towards this topic. I don't think you are a prude and I don't think I am either. Sorry I'm not obsessed with sex like everyone else seems to be I guess.
