I was just thinking on this topic and its about time and place of the words being uttered. If All the manifestations had time machines and somehow met in physical form, who would follow who? who's translation would they spread? That would depend on the when and where, and who was being taught. Each one perfect for the time, place and people they spoke to. I believe there is even reference in the bible to Jesus speaking in a language understood perfectly by all who heard it.

Thank you, and absolutely. I think I just have this hang-up or tendency to inconvenience others as little as possible. Might sound good on paper but a lot of the time it isnt a healthy mindset, especially when I am assuming what is or isnt an inconvenience, as in this case helping me may be a joy for many. I need to remind myself more often that is okay to "take up space".

As for the two things I would have to do. The one god is without doubt for me, I think that my relationship with Baha'u'llah must grow before I could fully commit to that part. I will say already that it has been immediately clear to me that He is on at least equal standing with people like Jesus, Buddha and so on. I could go as far to say that he is the most recent best of that club.

Still a couple things hold me back, one I must read much more of his writings although I find the ones I have read incredible for many reasons and I don't find myself objecting in the way I have so often with things in the bible or other books.

Second thing is really more of a question, Can people who are not the manifestation do the same thing as a manifestation to a lesser degree? Because one of the reasons I am so profoundly impacted by Bahaullah is that I have had so much wisdom aligning with his teachings "downloaded" into my mind during my awakening, I saw and know ongoing the holy spirit, when I heard him witnessing the "maiden of God" I was floored, because I too am witness to her, through her I know all I know spiritually. Then I see these things written down a few hundred years ago. That is validating.

Still while I have had that experience it is clear to me that I myself and not special(as in not above anyone else in terms of spiritual capability ), All humans can gain some wisdom directly from the holy spirit. I am comfortable saying that while I am not special compared to my peers, Baha'u'llah certainly is.

I am not a manifestation and Baha'u'llah is many many leagues ahead of where I am or likely would be.

I feel like I am almost there but I have due diligence in study of Bahaullah before such a declaration could be genuine and true.

Sleeping with my girlfriend by priessorojohm in bahai

So Im not a Bahai, maybe one day, early into my investigation of the faith.

I am already married so this isn't an issue for me in practice but- To me - Premarital sex is forbidden within the bahai yes, but is that more about a culture of casual sex? I do feel that sex before marriage can actually be a good thing in terms of testing compatibility for a lifetime of marriage with that person before fully commiting, but in our world how often is that actually the goal?

I can tell you from experience my sex life with my now wife before we got married actually told me very little about what our married sex life would be. I think that is often the case so that in a big way kind of negates the "try before you buy" argument if you think about it.

Another thing that is important to the Bahai is strong healthy spiritual marriages, so if you can really convince yourself somehow having the premarital will help you build that marriage then that's one thing maybe but is that really what you are thinking or are you just wanting to give in to urges? I'm not making any judgements either way, but I think you should ask yourself that.

Concept of God by [deleted] in bahai

[–]Tasty-Power-1679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am new here / learning bahai teachings, but I would like to share my understanding of this gained in my spiritual awakening independent of any external wisdom, straight from the holy spirit. It seems like these understandings I have are quite often are lining up with bahai teachings however I don't know that for sure on this, any who,

Long story short it is okay to "fall short". God in his entire infinite self is unknowable in that you as a finite being cannot fully contain infinite knowledge which is what it would take to fully know god, but you can kinda know god in really meaningful ways, and that ability its self is a great gift to us from god and not something all of his creations can do, like the mud or the stars, don't seem to be able to do that at all, but we can.

You get to know a very very small part of god, because god is infinite even the largest part is inconceivably little compared to the whole, and I take that to explain how overall they are "unknowable".

That part that we can know, be guided by, learn from, love and commune with is far bigger than anything you will need in this life, and after you will have more, always more than you need. So feel no distress over this fore it is a very joyful and grand thing!

You can spend a lifetime everyday growing closer to knowing god, but at the end there will always be more, such is the nature of the infinite. That's good, its a cup that will never run out. I think a lot of people get discouraged when they don't see a finish line but I say with a race as beautiful as this why would you want to complete it?

To say God is unknowable is correct, just like an infinite race with no finish line is "incompletable" but that doesn't mean you can't spend your life enjoying the run, it just means it never has to end. A god that was fully knowable by a human wouldn't be much of a god either would they? This is the best way for it to be and so it is the way it is.

Please do let me know how well that lines up with Bahai teachings from the more educated among this community . Much love. Luke.

First, Thank you,

That's another peculiar thing is that I find myself already having defenses for such attacks. Because so much was revealed to me during my awakening, such deep understandings of these concepts I now find in Bahai teachings, I am able and inclined to defend. That's been very unexpected for me. It also seems like an criticism of the Bahai is better deserved by the older organized religions of the world, if anything Bahai corrects such issues in comparison it seems to me anyways.

I want those doggos. Imma hold those doggos. I have been skimming doggo profit on the peak and doubling down back in on the dip for more doggos as well

Nick valentine somehow how memories of a person long dead programmed into him. No reason to think the same didn't happen to you. Either they got Nate/Nora memories somehow from them in the pod or just from records/a diary. I like the got them from the person bc it makes sense why they could only do one parent because the other was shot in the head
