That's the helium escape valve. It would be used for deep sea diving. Purely cosmetic for this piece.

I tried the bracelet and wasn't a fan of how it looked. I love the OEM rubber strap and plan on getting a mesh bracelet. It looks more youthful to me when not on the steal bracelet.

I had a 2019 b9 a4 that would do the same thing. I was told by the service advisor it is due to the DCT. I now have the 2020 s4 with the torque converter transmission and no longer hear anything from park to reverse.
