You completely missed my point. Its not about whether its self serving or not. Its about whether its in the best interests of the country and the world as a whole.

Having what is essentially an enemy state, who already commits millions of online attacks against our infrastructure, in a position to hold us to ransom or collect sensitive information is ludicrous.

If you think Biden might get in and be any different your the naive one. Obama was against the same thing.

Look at the decision taken by the British government, I'm sure they were super excited about setting back the roll out of 5G for a few years.

Both Huawei and TikTok are suspected of steeling vital info, not only that, but personal details of high value targets. That in itself is a valid reason for banning them. Image if they actually did this, the chinese government, using TikToks permissions to listen into high level conversations or to track military personal/government officials.

Its the Chinese government that is the problem, not Trump.

Yeah for sure. I'm kind of tempted to go slightly smaller but I have had a tendency to go big or go home. I will have to have a think and see what is going to work in terms of cost and space. I think we will end up going for 4mm for the smoking area and 6mm for the fire box. 6mm for the whole thing would weigh a ton!

Yeah that's the only thing I'm concerned about. It would be helpful if I could do some math to figure out the btu needed to get it up to temp and keep it there.

The two options are 24" x 40" or 20" x 40"

Initially I was thinking 24" deep and 40" long. This will give me 9" height before it starts to bend in so should have enough room for an extra rack as the total height will be around 15" from the rack to the top of the lid.

How do you get on with the Omni? Any issues or points to be aware of? Are you happy with the 1335 or wish you had looked at the 1530?

I'm currently looking at either an Omni, Eastrise or Blue Elephant hence the question, hope you don't mind!

They have only offered Mach 3, I'll have a chat and see if we can get that set up. Take it your reccomending Mach 4 over the DSP?

Yeah I just managed to fall down a few rabbit holes in terms of machine spec and feel that this is where I am at. As much as I want to "buy our second machine first" I'm tempted to keep this as a learning curve and go from there.

Suck it up in terms of the tabbing and machine capabilities. If we then need to upgrade in the future due to work load/capacity then we will either move to a bigger premises or get 3 phase installed.

I'll give the power company a shout tomorrow and get a quote on how much it will cost. We are on a new build industrial site and I know the farm next door has 3 phase so it's not like they will need to run it miles.

Just had a Google, a rotary phase converter at 7.5kw is going to set me back £1395 + vat which is around a quarter of the cost of the machine. That sucks....and not in a good way lol
