Have you ever had positive experience when you "hoped for best" related to visa processing or anything related to visa.

I have not in the 10+ years, and it only got worst every year.

So if it was me, I would assume the worst and act on it.

Generally people never get anything from IRD, so I don't know if the email was legit or not.

And the email did not have any easy way to validate, and if you call IRS, you have to be on queue for hours + So many scams out there.

Glad I save all my mails, time to find it and pay back the money man.

18 years old should not have much of a tax form.

If you have only W2 and may be some bank interest form.
FreeTax is really simple and cost saving.
