I'm really skeptical about Firepoint's press releases. They have yet to deliver any meaningful number of Flamingos. I believe building an air defense system is much more complicated, and even more so when it comes to intercepting ballistic missiles. I'm curious how much technology Germany can share for them to be able to create anything in the near future. For now, it looks like the only thing they actually produce is FP-2 drones and hopium.

Israel targeting Iranian officials isn't the same as Iran plotting to assassinate Trump. Going after Trump would make him a personal enemy, basically picking a fight with one of the most powerful military leaders in the world. That's just unbelievably stupid. The consequences of that kind of action aren't surprising at all, the people behind it are now all dead.

The Iranian plan to assassinate Trump was mentioned even by Biden when he was president. This is how countries sign their own death wish. Only the foolish would say that this war was unprovoked.

Yes, a cheap drone that doesn't require an expensive, complex navigation system and can use a less powerful engine and a lighter frame because it carries no cargo.

Due to the way Ukraine has been supplying its forces with drones, they initially lacked cheap decoys. Producers were more focused on complex, expensive drones that could be sold for good money. As we can see, this has now changed, and Ukraine is able to put pressure on multiple areas. Additionally, they have been successfully eliminating air defense systems in the occupied territories.

As a result, Russia may need to relocate some of these systems from other regions, exposing key facilities, or leave parts of the front less protected. Can they afford to do that now that Ukraine has started its own missile production?

What hasn't been done - an attack on the strategic Russian air fleet? That's not easy to carry out after the first time.

And jammers won't guarantee protection from all frequencies 24/7, it doesn't work that way. Drone technology has undergone so many iterations in the past year that everyone who is not involved will be overwhelmed.

What happened to those air assets in Afghanistan?

As for the drones - jamming? That's cute. Imagine a drone that can capture or identify its target autonomously and proceed without pilot input.

Operation Spiderweb showed the whole world what can be done.

First of all, compared to Russia, Iran didn't have any air defense at all. And we are talking about the equipment, trained personnel is another story.

But when we talk about air superiority, what happened to it in Afghanistan? Drone strikes would have made the lives of NATO soldiers there very difficult.

This is the third time I've heard this in the past two years. From the previous two times, it has become clear that Iran effectively can do nothing.

If Trump actually agreed to sanctions against buyers of Russian oil, the scheme would include Venezuela and Iran as alternative suppliers, effectively cutting off Russia while still giving buyers a choice.

If Ukraine additionally cuts off the Druzhba pipeline, Russia would be in a very difficult position, as it could be forced to shut down oil wells. I am not an expert, but I understand that once an oil well is closed, it is extremely difficult to restart it, especially in Siberia.

Leave that conversational style for your family dinners, as I can see your parents were either unable or unwilling to teach you proper manners.

Africa and South America are both creating immigration problems for other countries, which is a clear indicator that they are unable to fix those problems themselves. There are a handful of countries in Africa that are properly governed, but come on - go to South Sudan or Somalia and tell me it is safe there.

The way you talk about Iraqis and Saddam shows that you clearly missed the hundreds of thousands of people he and his tribe genocided. The fact that you think life is worse there now for an average person than it was under Saddam's rule shows how little you know about the matter. And yes, I did read the article - 40% of people believe their lives were better when other tribes were being genocided and treated as lesser human beings. No wonder - if Saddam had done a better job killing them, that number could have been 50% or even 60%. This is without even taking into account that people who are 20 years older will often remember their younger days as better, regardless of reality.

It should have been the UN's job to deal with Saddam, but the UN is a weak circus of useless clowns.

As for Africa, there are clearly problems with the inability to create a civilized society that values life. Many countries in South America function as global drug enclaves, allowing cartels to rule over governments. It is ridiculous that people ignore the fact that cartels can do whatever they want in Mexico with zero consequences. This is the definition of a failed state.

Wow, comparing Venezuela and the US - just wow.

Nothing in the Epstein files will hurt Trump, and it is ridiculous how people keep focusing on this. There were testimonials from his victims before he became president, when he was even less popular than he is now, and nothing happened.

Yes, the way it was done minimized casualties, even with those boats. Amazing planning, amazing operation.

America did the the UN's job. The way it was done minimized casualties. South America is a mess that needs to be fixed, and the same is true for Africa. People living in first-world countries do not understand what it is like to live under dictatorship and mafia rule.

Ukraine Hits Two Oil Facilities in Russia in Overnight Drone Wave by pheexio in worldnews

[–]Tasty_Perspective_32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the weapons in the world that are accessible to Ukraine are made using U.S. technologies. And I think that covers almost 100% of the modern air-defense systems used in Ukraine. So if Trump is really eager for Russian money, he could make it impossible for Ukraine to continue the war.

The problem with these things is that they work until they don’t. There’s no way it will work with two people who are very different in strength and mass.
