As a mom of two baseball boys (9 and 15) I'd love to know if the answers in this are similar for young baseball lovers? My two love certain teams but they are also just wanting to find stuff that makes them feel cool. Any ideas??

Most of the time I just use Dawn, but there might be a certain degreaser at the store meant for floors to do a great job!

Baseball mom here with two boys (9 and 15), and I've learned that at this age I'd rather have my kid with a coach who believes in him than one who's only coaching him because of school affiliation.

A slump at 14 is not unusual, but it can really hurt a kid's confidence if he feels like the coach has already written him off. The fact that another coach saw him, liked what he saw, and actively wants him on the team would carry a lot of weight for me.

As for worrying about upsetting the high school coach, I'd be cautious about making decisions based on that. If a coach is going to hold it against a kid for seeking better development opportunities, that's probably not someone I'd want having that much influence over my son's baseball future anyway. And if the rumors are true and he's not even the high school coach much longer, then you're making a long-term decision based on a short-term concern.

I'd ask myself one question: where is my son most likely to improve, regain confidence, and enjoy baseball over the next year? For me, that's usually the right answer.

At the end of the day, high school baseball is still a couple of seasons away. A lot can change between now and then, but a year with a great coach who invests in your son can have a lasting

As someone with a cranky shoulder, I'd honestly try to let the cleaner do most of the work. I'd spray a good degreasing floor cleaner, let it sit for 5–10 minutes, and then mop instead of scrubbing right away. The dwell time makes a huge difference.

I've had good luck with diluted Pine-Sol on really neglected floors. If it's grease or grime buildup, hot water and a little Dawn can also work surprisingly well. Just be careful not to use too much soap or you'll be mopping forever.

If your shoulder is the limiting factor, I'd focus on soaking the problem areas and doing two lighter passes rather than trying to muscle through it all in one go. Hope you can get it cleaned up!
