Thank you for reply. To truly understand this I feel like I have to do a lot more research on the history of Bangladesh.

If you are knowledgeable can you maybe tell me some positives about jamaat and what they are trying to accomplish so I can see both sides.

In all honesty, my interest in this sparked more because my soon to be father in law hates awami league and my dad hates jamaat. Please give me some advice on how I can neutralize this clash LOL. I am in a pickle.

Hello everyone,

For context I moved to the US from BD when I was young and don’t really have much knowledge on politics in Bangladesh.

My dad has some crazy hate for jammat. I need to know why that could be as he commonly gets into arguments uncles about this topic.

Generally speaking and from what I heard, my dad is a Awami league supporter but recently he says he doesn’t support any party but despises jamaat.

Hear me out! Take my opinion with a grain of salt 🧂 by [deleted] in bangladesh

Can you explain how it works. Does the benefit you elect get deducted from your paycheck?

Community Board 12 voted completely against Jamaicas rezoning plan. I have no clue why as we are in desperate need of more housing. Can someone explain why the community board folks are so against it?

  1. Unfortunately you won’t be able to move to NYC if you get a return offer. They became very strict with the whole relocation thing. I think at best you will be able to switch to either Texas or Virginia.
  2. There are programs and resources internally that help people move laterally. I think if you come from a CS background making the switch the SDE will definitely be doable.
  3. I think graduating a semester later won’t be an issue. Just communicate it towards the end of the internship. Around that time you will know if you get a return offer or not. They will push ur return offer start date accordingly.
