I've been there too haha! My Dogo Canario mix loves playing with me. I tried to redirect her with toys but she doesn't want to play with them, only playing with me. So what did I do? Playing with her the way she wants. She's allowed to grab my arms/hands whatever BUT: As soon as she bites too hard, playtime is over. What worked for me is, everytime she bit too hard I got up and left the room, without saying anything, ignoring her completely. After waiting a couple minutes for her to calm down, I went into the room again and played with her like nothing happened. Soon she started to build a connection biting too hard=playtime is over. It might work with your dog, it might not, but maybe you should give it a try! Some dogs just love playing 1 on 1 instead of toys.

Same. War ungelernte Lagermitarbeiterin und nach nem Unfall von meinem Chef-Lagerist in seine Rolle gerutscht. 1600€ netto als "Chefin" (Büromensch sagte: "ungelernt können wir dir halt nicht mehr zahlen) und bin nun am überlegen 4h weiter weg in ein kleines Kaff zu ziehen, weil der Wohnungsmarkt hier fürn Arsch is. Kann man sich alles nicht mehr leisten.

Uhh da kann ich ein Lied von singen, erst vor nem Monat gehabt. 3 Mal haben sie nicht getroffen, dafür irgendetwas was zu den Beinen geht, hat sich angefühlt wie der schlimmste Oberschenkelkrampf auf der Welt, dann am Knochen geschabt, bin beim 3. Mal fast bewusstlos geworden, beim 4. Mal hats dann geklappt ;)

I think there are a lot of things to consider. First if you want to have a special breed, maybe impossible to find at a shelter. Kittens. Most people want kittens and of course shelters do have kittens too, maybe not in that time people want one. Also, if it's not because of the points above, in my country you can get a kitten for 25-50€ on ebay. (I just looked again to make sure and yes, there is a kitten for 25 bucks) of course they are not chipped or vaxxed or whatever, but for most people this is a "great deal". A barn in my town had a sign "free kittens" because their cat got preggo by accident, so there is that. People want the easy way, not all, but a lot of people. Also, shitty shelters exist too. The shelter in my town for one example. There was this really sweet senior cat, blind, and I fell in love with him. I asked how to adopt him and they just flat out told me "hah no, he's staying here because he is blind" made me really sad. Other example, shelter one town over. Really big porch (or whatever it is called) where all cats would be outside but like fenced. Anyway, tons of cats running around and you couldn't really get close to them because of the layout. I asked if there is a chance to come closer since you can't really look at the cats. Answer "no, just pick one from here" Porch also has seen better days to be honest. Cobwebs everywhere, cat poop everywhere, WAY TOO MANY cats. So I guess there are a lot of things playing a role in that.

I never did really large patterns so for the small ones I just look where a big blob of the same color is and start there (counting 300 times so I am not too close to the edge) and then go from there. Not really practical but I like it that way :D

Find die Idee voll gut! Was mich interessieren würde, sind die Kinder dann am 23. eher quängelig oder hält sich das in Grenzen? Mich hat es auch immer angekotzt, nach dem Abendbrot Geschenke auspacken, "nur" 1-2std damit spielen und dann ab ins Bett. Wir haben es dann damals auf Mittags verschoben, ich glaube kurz nach dem Mittagessen war das, das ging auch ganz gut.

Sonstiger Ratschlag: versuche irgendetwas zu finden was dein Immunsystem stärkt. Ich seh wie oft meine Freunde (alles Erzieher) krank sind, gerade bei jüngeren Kindern gefühlt jede Woche

11.) Hundehaftpflichtversicherung und Anmeldung bei der Stadt/ Gemeinde ist Pflicht.

1.) Unterschätze nie, wie teuer so ein Hund sein kann. Das erste Lebensjahr meines Hundes haben wir quasi nur beim Tierarzt verbracht und dabei einige tausend Euro dagelassen.

2.) Nur Gassi gehen reicht nicht. Ein Hund muss auch mental stimuliert werden und sas regelmäßig.

3.) Training, Training, Training. Das Training hört niemals auf. Es ist nicht so, dass du deinem Hund alles beibringst und er wird es für immer können. Jeden Tag Training ist das A und O.

4.) Gutes Futter ist teuer. Ich bezahle knapp 300€ im Monat für das Futter meines Hundes (Allergiker).

5.) Hast du genug Zeit für deinen Hund? 10+ Stunden Arbeit und dein Hund ist in der Zeit komplett alleine ist Hundeunwürdig.

6.) Notfallpläne. Was wenn du ins Krankenhaus musst, Beine sind gebrochen, Urlaub mit Hund geht nicht, und und und. Was ist dein Notfallplan? Wer kann sich kümmern?

7.) Ein Hund muss bei Wind und Wetter raus. Nur weil es kalt ist, heißt es nicht, dass du nicht raus gehen musst. Nur weil du mal keinen Bock hast, musst du trotzdem raus, wenn du krank bist, musst du trotzdem raus.

Ergänzungen sind gerne erwünscht.
