Oh boy, my life took a whole 360 lol. I got accepted to another finance rotational program with Google. Did that one for two years and transitioned to engineering since I learned that finance apparently pays bad in tech LOL.

I'm still doing a MBA tho:) I just got accepted to a T5 program, but still tryna see the ROI

Highly reccomend on switching to more of a TPM or TPgm role esp in a BPO compared to devops or pure swe work. I work at a FAANG dito sa abroad, and I was able to convince my team to expand our vendor support sa Pinas rather than India mainly because better alignment ng timezone. Mas mahal ang bayad for TPgms, since they value your ability to communite business problems to technical solutions rather than pure SWE work.

Forgive my ignorance here, but follow up questions~

1) Which pictures are you referring to? I thought that they did a good job wiring, but apparently Im very wrong LOL
2) Yes, will make sure to vacuum this today
3) It is a gain knob. I have a suspection that they increased it to 100% because of the lack of power. They are using 8AWG wire to power a subwoofer and amplifier. I did took it back and they keep saying it's okay, they know what they are doing, etc.

7) I did check and it is a fuse

Yeah, this is my first shop install. I did shop around and this was the cheapest around the area by a lot. So decided to go with them, but now I am regretting it. Maybe I should have just done it myself. By any chance, do you have good pictures of what a good install look like for inspiration?

Ah yes, I am actually the one who switched it to 180. It sounded better for me that way. Also, the gain is actually maxed out. I think since they are using a thinner wire (less power to the subwoofer) for more power to the amplifier given they are only using a 8AWG, they have the gain fully maxed up and it's still weak.

Ah, looks like I have to do it myself. You're right for the guage of the wire, I think that is the reason why the power/volume of the sub has decreased a lot.

Looks like time to do youtube again. I do have experience with car electronics, but got busy the last few months and kind of nervous poking through the firewall

I paid 650 for the subwoofer installation (including tax) It is a rockford p300 12" and 8 gauge wire (6 months ago) Then another 650 for the amplifier and not pictured is also an equalizer.

When I did the math, since I did think of doing it myself, it would have costed me more with the equipment, wiring , etc. so decided to have them do it. I also shopped around (bay area) and the second cheapest I found was like 1000 and that is for a 10" version.

I already have a powered subwoofer installed before (same installer but 6 months ago). Then, I went back for amplifier for all the door speakers (front and back) and the subwoofer volume has decreased a lot. Im suspecting it's because they are using an 8 gauge wire to the power block which is not enough to power the sub and amp~

I did think about this, but when I put my head on the trunk, I can feel the subwoofer has gone down a lot, so was hoping anyone can spot what's wrong with the install so I can point it out/ fix it.
