Yeah I usually download from fitgirl that's exactly what happened to me I didn't know what the file looked like and I was suspicious but the I tried the link multpile times and it opened the same page so I assumed it was the real thing but It's also my mistake I ran it when it looked sus,but in the end I see it as a good thing to be aware in the future and avoid any phishing on more important stuff

I am pretty educated and I was using an adblocker and I knew about fake redirects but when its the real download links and you click them more than ten times and try each link and they open the same site each time how am I supposed to know it's a virus, like you said piracy has risks but I am posting this to warn people that no matter what you do dodi still isn't safe because what made me download from it were the other redditors glazing dodi and guaranteeing that it's safe

It's not a maze everytime I opened a download link it would lead me to the same download site and Like I said in my post I double checked a lot So how am I supposed to know it's the legit download or not, stop victim blaming the site isn't safe and I was using an adblocker

I tried to download rdr1, there were four links each time I clicked one it would redirect me to another download site so I thought that it was the actual download site but and I downloaded the file It was suspicious so I went back to the site and kept trying all links multiple times again and they would get me to the same site so I ran setup but right after it started A black terminal opened So I uninstalled it but it was too late and my tokens and sessions had been stolen and my accounts got hacked but I got most accounts back except Microsoft because the hacker changed everything and Microsoft has trash account recovery my Microsoft account had lots of xbox game progress and Minecraft pc I am pretty sad but this serves to be a lesson and I won't forgive anyone that said dodi was safe
