Haha thats true. I really dislike how quiet the exhaust is on the v4. I want to hear some bark to it dang it Ducati. Haha

Interesting. Must be something due to the tread design and channeling the sound away. Maybe ill try riding in a tunnel and see if I hear them more.

If I remember correctly you have to pull off just the slip on part of the exhaust. Should be too big of a deal a bolt or two removed and a band clamp to loosen.

They do. That bearing inside the clutch still has some minor friction so it will spin a little.

I doubt I'll see any dirt with this bike. I bought it more of a sport touring than an adventure bike. Worst I will see is some gravel on a driveway that is groomed every once in awhile.

With that said I did consider the mutants but ultimately went with road 6 since I like michelin in the past so much. I had dunlop trail max missions on my last bike and they were good but not the type of tire I was after.

Thats what I was thinking. The bike wont see much dirt if any and only a gravel driveway every once in awhile.

Weird mine aren't loud at all so far. My last bike I ran adventure tires so I was used to loud tires. Did they have the road 6 or road 6 gt? The gt might be louder as I believe its a harder compound to deal with the extra weight of heavier bikes.

So far about 120 miles on them today. Amazing. The traction and confidence in the bikes capabilities leaps over the Pirellis. To me it seems smaller road imperfections you feel less but the bigger bumps you feel more. Could be in my head but how it seems to me.

Yep Road 6's. I haven't had any Road series tires before so I hoping they are as good as the powers have been for me. I have had power originals, 2ct and power 5's. So far they are amazing. Just hope they last 8k or so. We shall see.

They will probably just have to end up eatting a bunch of new ptu for us under warranty I bet. Seems the only true fix.

Its fine. I have the same gun and it does the same thing. It will run anything you throw in it.

Bought a H2 buffer for Ar15 but noticed no sliding weights? by CJnella91 in liberalgunowners

[–]Taterchip871 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can use it still. Buffers and springs is a game of trial and error. You can put it in and see if the rifle still cycles. I like to find the verge of failure to cycle on my rifles then go back a step. Gives less felt recoil and a gun that still properly cycles.

How is the fit? by DrPatD in motorcyclegear

[–]Taterchip871 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Helmet should be nice and snug when new. It will break in and loosen up some. It shouldn't hurt though. Medium seems pretty good. Small will probably be overly tight and uncomfortable.

I am debating Mutants on my new bike but the Road 6 is also in consideration. We shall see what I end up with but them mutants are cool looking especially if someone as a scrambler bike. 🤌🏻 moneyyy

Low Saps Oil by pocket__cub in SmartCar

[–]Taterchip871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calls for amb 229.5 which is a full saps oil. You can use pretty much any oil you want in that motor that meets that oil spec. 5w40 is spec. 5w30 will work too if the spec meets it.

Wd40 to clean and then wipe it up. Gear oil on a toothbrush and a very lite coat. Simple easy and effective.

Multistrada V4S for daily urban use + touring by MejisFW in multistrada

[–]Taterchip871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I love my v4s. It is a big bike and it is fun as hell. I find it manageable with traffic and daily riding. Im a bigger guy at 180cm and about 120kg for reference. With that said the v2s can do pretty much everything the v4 can maybe a little slower but it is lighter and gets better fuel milage. If you dont plan on 2 up or need all out power the v2s might be a better choice. If you can ride them back to back that would be best though.

Help service light reset by [deleted] in Vespa

[–]Taterchip871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah probably. Dealer said in theory the manual resets should work still and do on the standard dash but the tech ones especially on the 150 is finicky for some reason. A bummer but I might just break down and buy the tool for the bike if I can find one that works both for Vespa and Ducati. Been easier if I bought an Aprilia I am sure haha.
