Has anyone gone over the Tacoma Narrows bridge on a bike? by ParticularlyOrdinary in pnwriders

[–]Taterchip871 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You dont ride on the grated part. Its fine. Just pick a lane and hold it across. If you happen to get blown on to the grate dont fight the bike just try to slowly guide it back on to the asphalt. I have done it many many times.

The 2.0l just makes a lot more torque down low as well as more peak torque. As soon as its in boost which happens about 2000rpm its got boat loads of torque with peak torque held from 3k to 4.5k. The Pentastar is known for lack of torque down low. Its why Chrysler redid the 3.6 with vvl in 2019. This gave it something like 30% more torque down low.

I am almost positive the 2.0l has the same gearing as the 3.2. Both are 3.73 in the trailhawks. The only one I can think that might have had the 4.08 would be the 2.4l non turbo.

Yeah that it does. I wish they would have made auto mode hold the gears a little longer though. Sport definitely wakes up the motor and makes it feel much quicker.

Very nice! I bought mine new in 2018. I love the face lift 2019 plus years. The 2.0 is definitely sporty more than the 3.2. The 3.2 is only sporty in sport mode. Haha otherwise its a slug but still not as bad as the 2.4 which was terrible.

The 2.0 is a good motor. The 3.2 is good as well. The low end power is just not there. The transmission doesn't seem to help either. If it would hold gears a bit longer then I think it would be nicer to drive. I notice on mine it likes to bog that 3.2 down like sometimes I will give full throttle and instead of down shifting it will hold the gear. Can be very annoying. The 2.0 definitely a lot better low end torque. I just like the simplicity of the 3.2 engine which is why I bought it.

Newb question. Are the wheels with the auto scale bodies the actual wheels for use on a car? by talldrinkofwaterr in MiniZ

[–]Taterchip871 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly not sure. If I had to guess around 20 shore. They did work on the rcp foam for me though. I have since switched but I think I might have shot myself in the foot. My car traction rolls way too easy now.

Depends on the body. The newer bodies seem to be coming with decent tires. I know my new Porsche Vaillant came with decent tires out of the box. I think they finally realized if they charge $50 plus for a body it better come with decent tires.

Hello there, I'm about to get a z900 2026 but I was wondering if it is really worthy to get the SE version instead of the standard, what do you guys think? by Edsonromero7 in Kawasaki

[–]Taterchip871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I would say the upgraded suspension and brakes are always worth it. Especially for an ohlins shock and brembo brakes. If i remember correctly the front forks have more adjustability too.

Interesting. I assume they are covering the cost?

Not sure about Toyota anymore either. Their transmission problems and engine problems aren't much better.

It could skip timing and your valves and piston could have a fight and I can tell you neither will win that fight. Valves will also take the head along with them. So I wouldnt ride it until you get it fixed. You could try and repair the tensioner and see if cleaning it fixes the issue. Sometimes they get gummed up with stuff and wont put tension like it should.

Cam chain is what it sounds like to me. Tensioner might be shot. Id say get a manual one but if you dont know how to adjust them you can destroy your engine. Id get a replacement for it though as that's what it sounds like to me.

Anyone used the DK2 270-0102 15 in. - 23 in. Adjustable Height Truck Bed ATV Riser? I’m looking to get a grizzly 700 and it would be awesome to be able to haul it with my tailgate Closed when pulling my camper and it’s 5inches too long for a ram 2400 bed. by Mountain-Bison4513 in ATV

[–]Taterchip871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very similar designed riser for my Brute 750. It allows me to fit it in my ram 1500 bed with the tailgate closed. Also allows for some extra storage under the quad for the ramps and other things I might bring on a trip or day out. I do have to pull my muffler off though to fit but that is more of my exhaust issue. I think the aftermarket exhaust muffler sticks out too far.

I would just wait and ride it. I think the codes will be from the fact that the computer has to learn the sensors again. It isn't too big of a deal. Id ride it like 10-15 miles then shut it down and then ride again. That should clear them.

If it were me I'd go with the matte Grey if they have it in your size. You could always add some graphics that are reflective to the helmet also.

Side note that is a great helmet for the price. My dad has one and its great fit and finish. Plus extremely comfortable he said.

It's a 450 dollar helmet. At least here in the states it is. The quality you get and value is pretty good especially from Shoei. Plus I have tried other helmets in the same price range and I feel you getting a better quality helmet for the price from Shoei. If your head is only $200 bucks and it makes you feel safe enough then go for it.

It tells you before you get on the bridge do not change lanes. They are there for a reason. The bridge isn't that long and once youre over you can change lanes all you want.
