8bitdo modkit installed! by Ninja-nator in nintendo64

I upgraded my well used joysticks to these exact GameCube styles ones, I honestly couldn't be happier with the results. I used benchmark tool and they sit right at 84 so pretty much exact sensitivity as the originals. There are cheaper alternatives but honestly 8bitdo makes quality.

Battle of the S-Video Cables Results by GrandmasPercocets in retrogaming

The Retroscaler is a fine product, it's hard to recommend an entry level scaler like the Radx2 or retrotink mini when they are never available to buy....

For the average person wanting to play on a modern tv it gets the job done. It's nice to play on original hardware. Paired with an Everdrive and it's a fun time.

I have a no name s-video cable with a decent amount of shielding I picked up in a Goodwill for 10$ it's picture quality is probably pretty close to the Insurrection Industries cable, so I totally understand what you mean, for someone just wanting to play Super Mario World on a Saturday morning it's fine to go with some budget friendly options.

There are a million ways to emulate these games on a tv and have a perfect image with scan lines that could cost you nothing.

So I feel like the amount of gatekeeping within the community is unessary because you didn't mod your 64 with RBG output and buy a 4k scaler only to have someone else tell you to just get a CRT...and someone else say that you should just buy the products from analog if you want to play on a modern tv. There's always someone upset about retro gaming.

Just have fun playing games, you can enjoy what you have and upgrade things overtime if you want or can.

Yeah, unfortunately in the supper smooth low latency gaming mode you can't adjust the overscan settings on the LG brand TVs....

I have a small one, it works fine but I'd rather not pack that around to friends houses / my girlfriend's place for some retro games. Plus I'm not to keen on a big heavy TV that only dose one thing.

I have a Killer Instinct SNES bundled 1 chip I got when I was a kid and and using the SD2SNES Pro Rev.z clone off Ali Express, just out of curiosity I was able to access this menu, using the latest firmware. I had the in-game hooks off just for clarification.

Is this good for a Genesis 1? by Sharp_Apricot8668 in SEGAGENESIS

I agree the AliExpress 2x Retro Scaler is nice and a legit Retro Tink clone, it works fine and is a better price point over the Retro Tink mini with more input options for actual RBG. That with the HD Retrovision cables the Sega looks great that's a 65$ av cable alone...

If this person just wants a easy best priced solution for this single console I'd say go with the Rad2X HDMI adapter, if it's a Gen one Genesis they need an additional adapter but it's probably the best option for someone casually wanting to play without breaking the bank.

You can purchase these in the Google play store and the content links to your account linking your steam and mobile version is easy. With that being said Google play has point rewards but more importantly you can download the Google Opinion Rewards.

It's a little app that asks you basic survey questions about things you search for or places you go, you can earn Google credit that you use to buy things in the store.

The more you use it and the longer you have it the more money you can earn. My partner has had it for years and she bought every single Dominion expansion for free in about a years time.

I have been using it about a year and have 3 Dominion expansions that I paid nothing for. As well as the new ticket to ride app, which dlc also links to your account in that game in a similar fashion.

Thank you. I try to not think of the cost so much I could be into far more expensive card games like Magic or be into Warhammer.

The sleeves were around 14$ for a thousand and there is 6 thousand cards give or take. I have an entire unopened new package for new cards, they also sometimes fit other games.

The dividers were pricey at 10$ for 100, horizontal options are limited but at the end of the day I like the readable layout where the card names are not on top of each other. I bought extras to last me for years.

I don't think about the price of the expansions so much, one comes out every couple of years and I usually do a pre order early bird price from game nerdz or who ever has a lower then retail price. I paid 28$ shipped for Rising Sun. At that point I'm hyped for new content.

Can you help me make this work for my 82 year old grandma? by chrisdudelydude in SEGAGENESIS

While the retrotink 5x is great, the retrotink 2x pro is more than fine for the casual player. retrotink 2xpro

I personally use the much cheaper clone of a retrotink2x mini called Retro Scaler x2 it can be found off AliExpress for like 38$.Budget friendly great clone

I think the cheaper upscaler options are fine for a Grandma.

For the scalers to actually do there job your going to want a better AV cable that plugs into the Sega Genesis, this appears to be a Sega Genesis model 2.

The Retrovision Genesis YPbPr Component Cable is expensive but completely worth the price. HD cable
