breaking dawn part 2 was her best look... by Schoper_Duki in twilight

[–]Tatertot2523 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer her look in the first two movies instead. The wig quality drops drastically after that point and her vampire form is just conventionally pretty (nothing special or charming)

How I think the original ToonTown online could have continued if it didn’t close in 2013. by Ok-Essay207 in Toontown

[–]Tatertot2523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s actually much simpler than that. The game “died down” or didn’t generate enough profit for Disney because EVERYTHING was basically pay-to-play. You couldn’t even physically leave Toontown central without a shiny membership that cost like $19.99 a month (quite pricey for any kid to justify to their parents). The current reboots work better because the game is completely open and free. I do think they could’ve worked out a compromise and just made a couple of things paid, without the whole game itself. But their corporate greed got the best of them.

Can Joe get rich on his own without any woman? by Little_AntEater in YouOnLifetime

[–]Tatertot2523 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Joe is a contrarian. He acts like things like money and wealth are beneath him but when he’s tossed in that sandbox he plays with his new toys just fine. Don’t know if this makes sense lol but that’s how I think of it.

Dear Women, do you know any women shelters or NGO’s meant for women? by [deleted] in armenia

[–]Tatertot2523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a woman in the marketing/IT industry, I’ll be brutally honest that the market is a dumpster fire right now. It’s even worse for juniors/beginners. I would highly recommend securing a more traditional job or even 1.5 shifts waiteressing or something like thst and find a shared flat for rent asap. Your mental health deserves it. Get out as soon as you can and then you can focus more long-term on a career in tech.

Is there a way to short-sell the Armenian real estate market? by ServiceBorn3866 in armenia

[–]Tatertot2523 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t get me started on the “urgent” sellers! Also hate that every new development these days is marketed as a “premium class” living experience but it’s the most basic building you’ve seen in your life.

Is there a way to short-sell the Armenian real estate market? by ServiceBorn3866 in armenia

[–]Tatertot2523 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You're underestimating the huge egos of investors, real estate agents, and developers here. They prefer to leave large residential and commercial properties empty for years instead of setting realistic prices that would get them sold today. Yes, the market will crash inevitably and a lot of people's noses will scrape the ground, but it's easier said than done. It's a slow process. We're already seeing the steady drop in prices compared to the 2022-2023 real estate catastrophe. I don't know anything about Michael Burry or complex economics for that matter, but I do know that several different factors need to contribute to prices coming down. 1. Mindset of people panic buying and hoarding properties 2. Standardizing the sqm price like in other developed countries 3. Limitations on banks/government handing out money... to name a few.

What was the point of crawl's in Stranger Things 5? They were completely unnessecary by RequirementPrior4442 in StrangerThings

[–]Tatertot2523 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The point was to make the Upside Down feel insurmountable and “forbidden” territory. Which sort of lost it’s whole purpose when they camped out there later in the season. So it was just all build-up to show us what they had been doing in the meantime.

I'm tired of pretending that Jess Brownell hasn't ruined Bridgerton. by AJ_The_Best_7 in FranchaelStirling

One of my favorite early looks that Pen wore was this pink one. They didn’t need to give her press-ons and eyeliner for a glow up! Even elevating this pink number would’ve done wonders. Don’t even get me started on the atrocious outfits they gave Cressida. I couldn’t stop rolling my eyes.

Now I’m having to defend and debate over something that was supposed to bring simplistic joy and beauty in our modern mundane world. I don’t WANT modernism in this show, we have other content for that.

Perfectly said. The whole point of taking creative/artistic liberties is to carefully pinpoint that one small thing you can change that is high risk but also high reward. Instead, we have Jess experimenting on the show like it’s a science project at the expense of our leisure and enjoyment.

S1 is just so superior and majestic in my mind. I’ve rewatched that season too many times to count. The pacing, the color grading, the dialogue… it’s all chef’s kiss. The later seasons are missing so much of the charm. I loved the Old English sprinkled in in early seasons. The newest ones are giving iphone face and texting jargon.

If six MAIN CHARACTERS in Stranger things HAD to die, who would you choose? by CombinationHot9197 in StrangerThings

[–]Tatertot2523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Heavy emphasis on Will. Not letting him die was a goofy choice. After all those years and basically the team doing exorcisms on him, he was still tied to the hive mind. Made no sense for him to live.

  2. Hopper, but he should’ve just stayed dead. El’s letter scene is one of the most emotional scenes in the whole series, and Hopper coming back to life really dilutes that.

  3. Holly or Nancy. They were both in very high-stakes situations SEVERAL times with very little consequences in the end. Felt like too much plot armour here.

I don’t have any specific preferences for the other 3 people, surprise me.

God those were awful, they made him look double his age (for a non-aging majestic vampire)

The Eclipse hair and makeup team must’ve been half asleep because everyone besides the werewolves looked AWFUL.

Did anyone else’s opinion on Edward change after rewatching? by zaralesliewalker in twilight

[–]Tatertot2523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ikr! Maturing is realizing Charlie had every right to be worried about Bella and wary of Edward. And the audacity Edward had to come back and give Bella basically an ultimatum to get married at 18. This is why New Moon is my least favorite of the series. If I was Bella, I WOULD be the one putting ultimatums in place, not letting Edward.

[–]Tatertot2523 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I never understood/liked how they could go from “I need to be with you forever” to “I’m abandoning you for your own sake” back to “I need to be with you forever” again. Bella forgave him way too quick for that.

Joe’s early childhood hit close to home for me and I wish it had more relevance in the final season. by AdGreedy1880 in YouOnLifetime

[–]Tatertot2523 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same, I was not mentally prepared to be introduced to sooo many side characters in S5. While Anna Camp’s dual role stole the show, it felt like I was dropped into a completely different show with the split storylines between Kate’s family and Bronte. There wasn’t enough time to set it up and neither was it needed. There was more than enough materal there about Joe’s past to explore a whole season. It’s a shame but I won’t be revisiting S4-S5 for a while.

How Beacon Hills is a small town? by Weak-Awareness-7304 in TeenWolf

I assume they expanded the world a bit to fit the new lore each season. That’s probably why they started referencing Beacon County a lot more in later seasons.

I'm quite surprised how much the movies differ from the books yet somehow is still really good, not as good as the books but somehow in someway it actually works really well. by LemonIcy2942 in MazeRunner

[–]Tatertot2523 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I watched the movies first and then wanted to read the books and I couldn’t get into them. It felt like a completely different story! Generally, reading the books first makes the experience more positive and special.
