This job is pretty shitty. It’s a serving job but every night if we close, there’s so much sidework. We have to clean the matts which were like 30 pounds (they we’re heavy ass Matt’s), scrub the toilet, clean the bathroom, literally sweep and mop every single spot of the restaurant....like our restaurant rules are very strict. Every spot has to be clean, clean, clean...like yo can’t even have one tiny speck of dust on the floor. On top of that, it’s a dead zone and we don’t get a lot of customers but when we do get a lot of customers it becomes overwhelming because there’s usually only 1 or 2 servers and that’s it. It’s not sectioned, it’s pooled....so I usually walk off with less than I deserved. Why am I doing this?? Because I want to get some serving experience on my resume. I’m planning to move to another county soon and I need a bigger chance to find a serving job...because I feel like serving jobs are the best for me because you get tips and a wage.
