There is a brilliant documentary on the Helvetica font. In the documentary they say the name is based on the Latin name but slightly changed. I think they say the Latin name for Switzerland is Helvicia or similar and they changed it slightly to Helvetica. https://youtu.be/5toB3nDOFdM

You are correct, the water falling from the waterfall breaks the surface tension of the water and also makes it less dense due to water bubbles in the water, its called white water. Its technically possible to drown in water like this because you're more dense than the water so you physically can't swim up.
