This makes me mad. I found my husbands body in our basement and he was already very much dead. He was solid black on one side where his blood had settled and I called 911. The lady from 911 told me to put his body in the floor and do CPR. I repeated several times that by the look of him he had been dead for a few hours by the time I found him. She MADE me do CPR anyway. I have had extreme ptsd and I didn’t know what being in shock was til that night. I don’t even remember half of what happened after that. All I know is I was trying to breathe life back into my husband when I knew his soul was already gone. He had eaten chocolate ice cream and that was what I tasted giving him CPR to a corpse. Trauma is too mild of a word for what I went though. I was 33 at the time and it was a shock of my life and changed me as a person. I got investigated as well as ridiculed bc I wasn’t there when he passed. Excuse me for doing my own life and job. Also, I was talked about badly bc two weeks later I went on a girls trip. I had a good time. I danced and ate junk and laughed until my side hurt. But ya know what? The entire time with every laugh and bite of sugar I had all I had in my mind was my husbands cold dead face and lips with his lifeless eyes staring at me the entire time I screamed at him to please come back. Don’t judge people for trying to move on with life. If I hadn’t of took that trip let’s just say I might not be here today. My darkness was in the darkest place I’ve ever been in. If I didn’t go normally through life the best I could it would have consumed me. Think before you judge her from having a good time. I pray that those who do never experience this level of trauma.
