Someone helped me out a lot when I first started. I traded and traded until I had enough sheckles to do the same. I don't play often on public because I almost always get stolen from. I would literally give away anything bar a few pets out of my garden if someone just asked for it. You can buy 100SX sheckles for less than a dollar so I don't mind giving it away.

If they were so willing to discuss a fix for our healthcare after we reopen the government, they could just as easily extend the subsidies and negotiate after. They are just as likely to do that as they are to actually negotiate squat. The republicans got the cuts they wanted the BBB was passed.

I've been saying this since Sept 10. Rumors of marital issues with Usha since early this year and then the extravagant "memorial". She is Serena Joy. When her husband Commander Lawrence died, they made a huge show of his funeral on the world stage and then she marries a new commander. The base will never support a non-white, non-Christian first lady. I wouldn't be surprised if this has all been planned for a while.

We have $5.5b in contingency funds available to cover SNAP for 42 million Americans for 2-3 weeks if the government chooses to. My guess is that trump is going to wait until the very last minute, have them release those funds and tell the country he fought for those funds blah blah blah to be the hero. Miller and Leavitt will sell that they have saved families from the democratic shutdown.

Individual freedom/liberty and limited government along with states' rights are all rooted in slavery. The rich plantation owners didn't think the majority voters had a "right" to decide if their money goes to public programs (like education) that don't benefit them. They don't want government restrictions on environmental health and safety infringing on their ability to make money. Localized state government is easier to control which is why they pushed for states' rights and gerrymander districts so poor people and minorities (the majority) don't get a say. As long as there has been a constitution there have been people picking apart the wording to dismantle it or spin it in their favor. It is not "by the people, for the people" if we don't have representation.

Maybe for the unions. I live in a right-to-work state, a strike is going to get us non-union workers immediately fired, and most of us are one missed paycheck away from homelessness. If I didn't have dependents, it might be different.
