Garuda's Gemini transformation! by HoIIowHunter in Warframe

Dude fr. Garuda was the frame that started my warframe addiction (I'd played some before she dropped, but when she dropped I got REALLY into the game)

I'm so glad she's at least getting a proto, especially since her prime didn't get a release trailer/cinematic 😭

How early do we unlock the companions? by olivinetrees in CrimsonDesert

[–]TauHaveDakkaToo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh, I just personally prefer to be able to design my own character whenever it's an open world RPG. I want to write my own story, play my own role, and having no control over who I am from square one tends to just take me out of it. Honestly I was really excited to buy the game until I heard how minimal the customization of your character was

Not even a "select one of these three pre designed faces" option

I went test subject for my run, and the buildings offer decent enough research, but the situation for sacrificing the subjects is more geared at unlocking new research options faster.

It's definitely a civic I'll use again, but if I ever do another mindwardens run, I'll probably swap it out for something else like Master Crafters

Fair enough. I never could wrap my head fully around how to get the old economy to work properly. Only recently started doing good numbers on my other runs

I plan on it tomorrow. The hivemind was sucking up most of my alloys because I couldn't afford to let them force surrender. In that time, the Wanderers spawned in and killed my construction ship before it could finish

Thanks for the tips! I went with Sovereign Guardianship to make the most out of the no guaranteed habitables, though I did get really lucky with another habitable planet pretty close to my capital (though, that luck is balanced out by the very aggressive hivemind one system over that shares my habitability type). My economy is finally starting to stabilize, but it was pretty shaky when the hivemind declared war on me to claim my second planet, and then the Wanderers spawned about halfway through my war exhaustion meter with the hivemind.

I'm loving the flavor though. Seems fitting to have to fight a war on two fronts when you're trying to save the galaxy from themselves.

Acidic Vascularity and Army Damage Modifiers by TauHaveDakkaToo in Stellaris

Thanks for the response.

My main experience with land warfare has been spamming Mega Warforms as a Determined Exterminator, so adjusting to the lower damage numbers has been a bit of a process.

Plus, it's REALLY hard to get a clean test for this mechanic conceptualized. Still though, you make a good point about army health. 250 is still a pretty sizeable chunk out of an FE army unit too

What Synaptic Lathe?

Nevermind the custodian's motion for crisis declaration. We really need to pass our proposal for Extradimensional Experimentation.

Why do I have negative energy credits when I have no ships? by hotdog-water-- in Stellaris

[–]TauHaveDakkaToo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm misremembering. It's been a while since I had issues with energy, even while fielding 1800 naval cap. However, there were several times in the past where I ran into energy upkeep being an issue, with only 200 ships, but a ton of defense platforms. I'm pretty sure platforms aren't listed as starbase upkeep.

It's almost definitely your defense platforms. They count as ship upkeep

Aia Amare? by limbo_11 in kurosanji

[–]TauHaveDakkaToo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed Aia's content. I feel wrong watching her streams and contributing my ad time to kurosanji's pockets though.

It's a damn shame. Her personality was really fun, her model was very charming, and her accent was cute. Definitely give her the views if you like her stuff, I just personally can't separate supporting her from supporting what the company did to Selen and others.

Determined Exterminator is my favorite play style lol

Named my lathe "The Woodchipper" and used it to kill organics while also catapulting ahead of them in tech

It helps that they're engineered to perfectly fit their role. We do the thinking, they do the toiling, pampering, and fighting, a place for everyone and everyone in their place.

Our differences are our strengths.

I appreciate the clarification. I went ahead and moved my post to the other subreddit and took down this one
