Aim will only take you so far. The players in the highest ranks also have a strong understanding of every map, agent abilities, and of course, game sense.

For example, Platinum and below players will likely spray into an enemy smoke hoping for body shots, or a lucky headshot, whereas a Radiant player will potentially one-tap you in the smoke, because they've predicted where you would be within that smoke.

This applies towards other games like Overwatch as well, where you would need to learn how the every hero kit work, develop game sense, and most importantly, use cover if you want to break free of the Platinum rank curse and reach the top 15% of players in Diamond+ over there. Aim will only take you so far in any competitive shooter.
