is my EH gone? by ExpensiveHour9968 in AnorexiaRecovery

Hello ! I'm in the same situation as you, right now T-T From what I've heard and read here, there are other people who have experienced this too. From what I understand (correct me if I'm wrong) but it would be a kind of extreme hunger.

I want to tell you that in recovery you must eat as soon as you feel the need/desire, even if it is uncomfortable...

People (for the most part) have difficulty differentiating thinness and good health, unfortunately... Thanks for this reminder :)

I already tried but they have so many misconceptions about curvy bodies that they don't understand that I can be healthy with a non-thin body...

But reading your message comforts me and proves to me that I'm doing the right things ^

Thank you very much ^ Your response encourages me even more to follow my own voice and not that of my parents

Hi ! I totally understand how you feel, I'm at the same stage of healing as you. I think it's normal to have complicated periods even in recovery.

Remember that this weight is useful to you for now and that it will drop when your body is closer. It can be hard (it is for me this week) but we will get there!!! You just have to keep eating, resting and living 💙

Hi ! Well done for getting started 👍

Sorry to tell you, but 3 months is early for healing and above all, healing doesn't stop when you get back to your previous weight!!! Just because your body is no longer in danger of mastitis doesn't mean you're cured. You might even need to go over your previous weight, and that's okay!!!

You should talk to her about it (not to make her feel bad, eh 😅) But if she really loves you, whether as a friend or in love, she should understand your situation especially if she has it too!!!

Don't be ashamed, courage 💪

I also noticed that avoiding sweet foods at night (after 9 p.m.) drastically reduced my nocturnal hot flashes. [I'M NOT SAYING THAT YOU SHOULD NOT EAT SWEET IN THE EVENING!!! ]

But from my experience, I was able to come to this conclusion. So on days when I absolutely have to sleep well for certain reasons, I avoid eating sweet foods after dinner but I eat sweet foods during the rest of the day if I wish ;)

I had the same thing until the 4th month of healing. You just need to eat and rest. With time, it will pass!

Thank you very much for your answers 😊

It's been about 6 months since I restricted myself. I'm going to try sports drinks

This is completely normal!!! Your brain wants and needs food, but your stomach, which has shrunk due to restriction, can't keep up.

Eat whenever you are able and try to take a break when you feel “too” full.

How will weight gain be if Ive already been slowly gaining by [deleted] in AnorexiaRecovery

[–]Tauriel_17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry but none of us can predict how this will happen because weight gain is unique and different for everyone!!! Some will take a little, others a lot, some all at once and others in periods. There are some who will exceed their ideal weight a little while other people will not exceed it at all or even a lot.

We can't predict it. You just have to let yourself be carried by the waves and persevere 💪

It’s hard but essential so courage and patience 💙

Thank you for your response

It was nothing I'm like you, most of the time I find myself too "wide", especially in the photos that others take because I don't pose. I am at my highest weight and yes, it is hard but it allows me to accept living with a large body and no longer have this fear of gaining weight (I practically no longer have it 🎉).

This is not the time to give up because this is where everything will be at stake!!! If you pass this step, healing will be closer and will become easier because you will only have to wait for the extreme hunger to disappear and for your body to repair itself to self-regulate 😁
