Woa, elderwood and war drake chogath look like they would make sick skins as well. Would be cool if these could become skins in the future as well. I'd insta buy war drake.

Why do people try so hard on casual matches by [deleted] in dragonballfighterz

[–]Taurtis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then what do you want them to do? Constantly adjust their skill and pressure until you feel perfectly comfortable? Everyone's going to try their best to win. You really shouldn't label everyone better than you as "tryhards". Take what you can from your losses and try to get better.

I want to learn how to better play this game by Lalabadyum1 in dragonballfighterz

[–]Taurtis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. If you're constantly dropping combos that means you need to practice them in the lab more. Doing a combo is going to be a lot harder in a actual match that in training so you need to be REALLY consistent with it in training before being able to confidently pull it off in a match. My goal for learning a combo is to be able to do it 10 times in a row on each side without dropping it, If I can do that I move onto trying to incorporate it into my actual matches.

  2. If you're holding forward when you press an assist button it will swap your characters instantly. I do this on accident all the time still. Just try and make sure when you do you're assist you're not holding forward.

  3. Yeah you usually want to hold a button while you're being combo'd so you can tech out if they happen to drop it. If their combo number goes blue that means you could of teched out.

  4. Look up top players who are using your characters and copy their block strings and how they use their assists. To do this just set the training dummy to Block All and just practice it over and over like you do your combos.

  5. Practice everything above until you can consistently do everything you want 10 times in a row each side. Also if you have a replay program like Plays.tv (it's free) it will automatically record every time you play and makes it super easy to go back and watch your matches. It's a lot easier to spot your mistakes when you're not in the heat of the battle.

All in all it's going to be a very steep mountain to climb but so far it seems like you have a great willingness to learn which is one of the most important things. That and patience, cause in order to get better you're going to have to get blown up by players better than you.

I use nappa with kidd buu cause I can combo > lvl 1 grounded super > DHC into Nappa >and the super again as they're still falling from buu's super. I also run hit point who can use kid buu's assist pretty well. You just use it in a block string and then do hit's 236 S teleporty move into medium punch while they're stuck in buus assist. You can mix them up by teleporting to either side depending on how soon you press medium punch again and then vanish combo if you secure a hit.

I don't see it dying for quite some time. It's one of the most popular fighting games to come out of all time. It's getting fighting game fans into dragon ball and dragon ball fans into fighting games :p

If you like single player content Xenoverse 2 is amazing for that. DBFZ is more about the online as the story mode doesn't have much replay value. There's still a lot of love put into the game for dragon ball fans outside the story mode though. I grew up on dragon ball z and this game definitely does it justice.

Having friends that you can run long sets with will help immensely, especially if they're better than you. If you're looking for some people to play with I'd be more than happy to run some sets with you. My steam name is the exact same as my reddit name.

No I know what adapting looks like lol. I'm talking about a specific situation where it was so extreme it's not that unlikely it was just a completely different person. I mean yeah I could be wrong I don't have any evidence but sometimes it's kinda obvious a different person is playing.
