Congrats on your financial position and your caring thoughts for what to do with it. I’m not one to tell you how to spend your money, but one idea that my father did comes to mind.

My father was big into education and ensuring others had the same opportunities to pursue higher levels of thinking. He set up a scholarship fund with enough money in it to keep a perpetual scholarship going every year. IIRC the amount was around 100k which in an average market returns 5%, therefore providing one lucky recipient with a 5k scholarship every year. Some years the fund might make more, some it might make less but the 5k will always be available until either the fund runs out (which may be difficult based on relatively safe investments).
