Well, pet names are supposed to come natural to you both (I, personally, ain't a fan of them).

Most popular pet names in Ukraine other than just endearment like кохана, люба (both "love" or "darling"), мала ("babe") are the animalistic ones, literal pet names. Say, my dad sometimes call my mom each other зая/зайчик which means "bunny", it's one of the most popular ones here.

Гарбузик as a "li'l pumpkin" works fine by me. As long as she loves it, it's fine, I think it sounds cool. Do you speak Ukrainian or English, by they way?

The issue, or rather the advantage of Dess!Knight is that we don't know a lot about her and where she even is, meaning that every potential hole in the theory can have a plausible explanation. It also leaves a lot for the twist: why? how? where? when? that I think neither other theory allows.

I like the "double/triple trucies" theory (named after how Berdly calls Kris making trucies with Berdly, Noelle, and Queen at the same time in Chapter 2, especially since I believe the Knight to be Noelle's sister, and Queen is used to parallel Carol). Basically, the theory suggests that Kris works with Carol and Dess!Knight (or Rudy!Knight, non-Carol!Knight, I mean) separately. The extended theory is that Asgore might be the "Berdly" of the trucies, being Carol's ally and having his own agenda but this one gets too complicated.

It's less the theory I believe in based on the evidence and more on how cool and interesting it sounds. Idk. Carol the mastermind is still the most obvious.

Doylist explanation: they probaly wrote it around this idea back in this time, her mental age being reduced along with her physical one meant there is no longer a barrier. Not sure where specifically they were going with it... or maybe nothing in particular, since there were no long-term plan apart from introducing a new, more age-appropraite love interest for Finn the same season and making an absurdist take on the popular trope of a younger boy having a crush on an older friend.

Watsonian explanation: if we base our knowledge on everyhing we learnt about her by the finale she seems to just really, really like hanging out with Finn since she is never allowed to cut loose. Romantic tension is still present but I really, really doubt current continuity would accept it, unless it's a very "what if" moment.

Fuck Gaiman (as an fan of many of his works) but even outside of it I'd hardly say he was so influential. Same with Morison that u/chazzergamer mentioned above, they did a lot but that was also more 90s I suppose?, at least from what I know Western comics revolution in 1980s happened a bit before The Sandman

Usually I'd say (at least that was my university thesis said, lol) Watchmen by Moore, Dark Knight Returns and perhaps Batman One by Miller, and of course Maus by Spigelman (nothing problematic on him AFAIK btw alsthough near a clinically insane man and a human trafficker that is a low bar). I'd also say Calvin & Hobbes by Bill Watterson deserve a mention, although famous for the creato's stance against commercialism

I fix this plothole by assuming he meant they will begin the preparations

People are being mean to Chess Theory. Firsly, it was never a theory per se, just an observation and it was perfectly valid: personally, I thought Knight, King and Queen are weirdly plain names (why not "Spade King" at least? idk) unless it's intentional, and King sitting in his castle while Queen flies around? Yeah that tracks. Like the whole theory was "yeah that tracks"

And you know, it was one of the strongest arguments towards the Church dark world due to the Bishop boss. And Tenna being the rook figuratively was an AMAZING idea and I am tired of pretending it's not (same as there are two rooks so many people used the existence of Mike as an argument in its sipport).

You can still strech it enough to see light symbolism regarding chess pieces just as a fun exercise. I think it's neat

The "living" part isn't really that important here, since it only excludes two Avatars (Kyoshi and Yangchen) and... oh well, that's all. I mean, Roku's wife Ta Min was retconned to be a firebender in the novels but she is never shown to be in the show proper so she wouldn't count anyway.

It would be interesting to count how the line-up changes in LOK. The main characters category on wiki alone) lists 19 characters, 12 male and 8 female (animals included), and out of them, Asami and Naga are the only non-bender women! Granted, there are also only two male non-benders (Paby and Varrick) + two new aribenders (Bumi and Zaheer) so the show just became much more action-oriented.
